Some interesting games outside of the Valley today to watch:
Murray State @ #7 Auburn
SLU vs #11 Florida State
SLU came close to knocking off Houston on the road, and Murray is coming off a last-second win against the Purple Aces.
Florida St. by 15 at the half.
SLU lost at Florida St. by 20+
Murray lost at Auburn by 5 (93-88)
Marquette beat up Buffalo.
Marquette beat up Buffalo.
watched that - Marquette has incredible talent. Their big guy John is a stud - blocked 7 shots. The Hauser brothers are really good - great shooters and huge (3 state titles in a row) - how did they get away from Wisconsin? And then there's Markus Howard - 45 pts on just unbelieveable shooting. (Also had 45 in win over KState.) Future NBA gunner. Impressive. Marquette also played great defense.
Marquette's up to 13 NET - Buffalo dropped to 20. (Wisconsin is 5 even though Marquette beat them.)
Drake beat New Mexico St.
Indiana St (just had really good Iowa transfer become eligible) beat UNLV.

Didn't know that about Indiana State getting an Iowa guy. Is he a guard or a wing? Tall? I would assume he wasn't good enough to get the minutes he wanted at Iowa....

Yeah, Williams should be good in the Valley. He certainly didn't do much at all in two years at Iowa. Probably a level too high for him.
Western Kentucky, who lost to both Missouri State and Indiana State, just beat #15 Wisconsin at home.

My first question is, how in the hell did WKU get to host a game against Wisconsin? I see they outscored the Badgers by 11 in the second half after trailing by 4 at the break.
Great win for them. And another reason why the big boys won't play mid-majors on the road. Nothing to gain and everything to lose.
Nevada hammered by 27 at 8 - 6 New Mexico. You knew they weren't going to be undefeated, but I didn't expect a so so team like NM to blow them out.
Warms my heart to see Illini getting hammered again. They got rid of Bruce why?
Maybe they can offer Hinson a job! Would at least be mediocre rather than awful.

Oops. Lol
