Cook is now the only senior currently onboard for next year, pending any grad transfers that might be added to the roster.
Yeah ummmmmm. About that
With McGill being done I can’t say I’m particularly surprised. Those two were coming back together to try to win...now he can grad transfer and try to get to the tournament somewhere else. I think we are likely still a year away. I say good luck and thanks for representing SIU with class!
I am saying there will be additional spots

Exactly why coaches never quit recruiting, at all positions and all classes.

No one ever listens to you anyway.

Jeremic and Keller will be seniors.

We'll see if Jeremic is back, although yes, he is still on the roster for now.
And I was referring to scholarship players, but true, Keller will be a senior.

I have heard that Jeremic, although only a junior has no more eligibility. I am not sure, but that would be helpful. I had heard it before and then Hefferman wrote it in an article as well. Can someone get some clarity on this?
I don't have the answer, but he played 2017-2018 at Odessa (NJCAA), 2018-19 at Utah State Eastern (NJCAA), and 2019-2020 at SIU. Not sure where he would have lost a year going that route, but if Hefferman says it is true...

Yea I know nothing. Just a troll

Just doing some research on this issue. I have no knowledge of Jeremic's actual circumstance.
NCAA rules require that a Division 1 athlete enroll in college 1 calendar year after high school graduation and then have just 5 years to complete a four-year degree. This creates a 6 year window for a Div 1 student to compete.
Stevan Jeremic was born June 13, 1996. He went to high school in Serbia. I am unsure of the typical age of a student when they graduate high school in Serbria. Jeremic played his Freshman year at Odessa College in the 2017-2018 season which would have begun in August 2017. Jeremic would have turned 21 years old on June 13, 2017.
I would say if there is a loss of eligibility, it appears he started Junior College two years after graduating high school. So technically his NCAA Div 1 eligibility would expire 6 years after graduating high school. If he graduated high school in the summer of 2014 then his 6 year window would be up in the summer of 2020. If he graduated high school in the summer of 2015 then he should have one year of eligibility left until the summer of 2021.
I know it’s been long speculated but on the southern.com it says Jeremic looking for new home , but no article yet .
Thanks Mr. Jeremic for being a Saluki! Best of luck with all your future endeavors.
If my research above is correct, Jeremic can transfer to an NCAA Division 3 program and play immediately, and have 1 year of eligibility left to compete.
Thanks for being a Saluki Mr. Gooch and Mr. Jeremic.
