Below is an excert from a radio post game Barry Hinson Interview where he is referring to some fans.
"It's just the guys in the basement eating Cheetos in their underwear that just drive me nuts, that make all the anonymous postings. I hate those guys." - Barry Hinson, Feb. 22, 2017

I would also suggest that you relisten to the epic rant after the Murray State game.

I would suggest that you relisten to this rant after the Loyola game Feb 25, 2017, at the 4 minute mark.

Home Game Attendance is going down.

UPDATE: Thru Loyola. 6,036 tonight. The exhibition game with Rockhurst is not listed in the official stats.
Home Game Attendance:

Barry Hinson was fired at Missouri State for very similar results.

Just wanted to boost this.

He still sucks up to MSUs big donors.

15 years and no Valley titles.  Just think about that and let it sink in.

Craving a McBride Special!

I have to agree with everything Goblin King said.  It's just hard to get excited about the program at this point.  Yes, I think we'll be decent this year and then fall off again.  Those expecting big things, though, are going to be disappointed once again.  It's just not going to happen under Hinson.

I agree!  Nothing relevant is going to happen under the little huckster.  It's time to get someone that can pump life back into the program and this fan base.

When hired at SIU, Barry Hinson came back into a league with Creighton and Wichita State still in it. He caught a major break when both of those teams left because he was never going to build a team to challenge both of those in the Valley. He had time to stay ahead of Loyola once they joined, but he's now been passed up by them. The Salukis even lost at Valpo last year so they aren't that far apart.

If Creighton and Wichita were still in the league, this team would still be a distant 3rd or 4th and we all agree that this year's team is the best attempt Hinson has had in Carbondale. The only hope is for Hinson to somehow pull a miracle and win Arch Madness, but if Creighton and Wichita were in the league, that would especially never happen.

When hired, his goal was to build a team to compete with the likes of Wichita and Creighton. If he had done such a good job here, this team would be poised to dominate the league now that they have left, but clearly that isn't happening and won't happen.

The fact of the matter is the little huckster's not a recruiter.  Word on the street is he doesn't even like recruiting.  If that's the case, you're not going to get far in the world of college athletics.  SIU's assistant coaches of done a nice job of bringing in recruits during that past couple of years and that should be under consideration when a new head coach takes over.

Not only is BH not a recruiter, it takes a very specific type of kid to handle playing for him

I believe that type of kid is either called desperate or a sadist.
