@saluki-4-life thank god for everyone’s sake
It seems more people are singing my tune than the other way around. Anyone with eyes can see this is not headed in a good direction like we thought, for the season or as a program.
This is very disappointing but we hsave seen losses like this in the past sometimes your the windshield sometimes your the bug put today in rear view mirror the important thing is how this team responds tomorrow
I can’t say that I didn’t see growing pains coming. But I will say I didn’t think they would be this glaring and astronomical.
But then, I think about it again...
We have an entire coaching staff where one one is over 40 years of age (probably; I’m not looking up bios)..
..And we are giving significant minutes to an OVC-transfer up and a D2-transfer up..
maybe I should readjust my thinking and expectations here a little

Two D2 transfers ...
There's no reason Filewich should still be in this game with a game tomorrow
Very disappointing both in terms of effort and execution. Everyone should be embarrassed. Seems like they need a good ass chewing.

Final
Wasn't even this close in reality
@saluki-4-life nah your just the loudest right now.
Fair enough. Apologies. I’m heavily invested in this program and all my optimism has turned sour very quick. I’m not giving up on them I’m just so down. Sorry for being obnoxious voicing my frustrations.
Did anyone notice the lack of enthusiasm coming from the bench? I have noticed the high level of cheering/jumping around by the benches of the last three games--and others on TV.
Is it possible there may be some kind of internal issue that reflects the enthusiasm demonstrated on the bench AND on the floor?
I say keep Jones, Banks, Domask, Muila, Filewich, Verplancken and Brown. I'm on the fence about Harvey. If his defense gets marketly better by the end of the year maybe keep him too. Get rid of the rest and hope the 3 freshman improve the overall quality. That gives you 2 or 3 scholarships to use to vastly improve the athleticism. Best used on upper classman. Juco's or grad transfers. Most needed 6'6'-6'8" long, super athletic wings or small forwards.
🤮

Harvey has been subpar offensively, as well, his garbage time buckets today notwithstanding.
Our game is very ugly right now, no doubt. We are in year 2 of a total rebuild from total scratch. 9 open scholarships the first year and 7 or 8 the second. Add 2 major injuries and this is what you get. As a long time Saluki fan, it’s painful but not worrisome for the future. Go Dawgs !
