Yeah, not great timing to be playing three games in three days this week in Florida with Dembele, Davis and possibly Suggs out. Dembele would have been especially good to have in the mix to provide some interior defense and rebounding to back up Benson.
On the other side of the coin, depth-wise, Mullins indicated all the freshmen will play this year, including Trent Brown.

With this staff's seeming incessant recruiting of guards, I am too not surprised either. This kid is a great shooter but the question remains, is he quick enough and strong enough at this point in his development to warrant not redshirting. That is a question and not a statement FTR.
I think the mindset on redshirting has changed in the last couple of years. With the number of kids that are transferring from one program to another rapidly increasing, coaches are deciding not to redshirt kids that are more than likely going to be gone in 2 or 3 years anyway.
This team will need Trent Brown for his shooting at various spots throughout the season, even if other areas of his game are underdeveloped. Scoring won't always come easily for this group.

Who in the actual fuck is this newish reporter that asks the most outlandish questions? I remember hearing him from last year with Burrah too. For fuck sakes, guy. I can only imagine Heff gives him the “wtf” as he tries to follow up a follow up because he can’t follow the concept of a D3 team playing a regular season D1 opponent but not in a D1 MTE in fucking Florida. Dancing around damn questions that should take 8 seconds to ask and even less to get an answer. Do some sort of homework. Read some fucking articles once in a while.
