I agree with everyone's assessment. But what struck me was, I really thought I saw a dramatic improvement from the team I saw at the exhibition game to the team I saw last night. I hope the improvements continue.

Could not agree more! I think once we get some of our injured players back and the younger guys get more comfortable, some of the scoring deficiencies will begin to go away. It seems like most players are great passers, and I think the most important improvement from last year is the energy! No more zombies out there lurking up and down the court. That will carry us a long way this year and into the future.
With this small sample size, I'm most impressed with the play of the freshmen. We'll see how they do when the competition stiffens, but from what I've seen, Domask will be one of our most consistent scorers, alongside McGill. Pretty poised and impressive kid. Future looks really good.
Also, as mentioned, I love the ball movement and unselfish play. I do not miss the overdone ball screens and stagnant overall offense. The discipline I'm seeing so far vs what we'd grown accustom to over the last decade is just night and day.
I think rebounding will come along too. It'll likely be an area of concern at points this season, but I really think last night was an anomaly, especially the second and third chance opportunities given up. They took so many bad shots that there was no shortage of odd bounces.
Can't wait to see what the next few weeks brings, especially once we start getting healthier.
--Insert something witty here--
Domask and Lance Jones were the most impressive players to me last night; add in Ben Harvey next year, and those three alone I think could really turn this program around.
Benson also impressed me offensively; if he can step out and hit threes that gives us a nice option. When is Dembele due back?
I also liked two things from Brown: the dude isn't afraid to launch threes - and they'll fall in bunches this year for him I'm sure - and he showed some great on-ball defense. Maybe he got more playing time with Suggs out and the fact we were playing a D3 school, or maybe he earned it in practice; either way, he showed some positive stuff.
