Darius Beane (no fouls) lets Jordan Barnes have an uncontested layup. Nail him, make him shoot FTs. Just make sure you foul him so he can't make the layup. If you finish the game with no fouls, you're not playing defense.
Greatest coaching effort, I have ever seen. Give this man an extension.

Absolutely!
What an enjoyable evening. First, I got to watch the whiners at SLU lose to Richmond...always a good thing when the Billikids lose. Then an enjoyable win at the Arena over Indiana State. Excellent!
Barry's postgame....

Is it normal to be depressed after a win? Heading down to the basement with a big bag of Cheetos.
Craving a McBride Special!
Pippen: 4 steals, 3 blocks, 5 assists
Fletcher: 34 pts., 78.6% shooting, 6 - 8 from 3pt, 6 - 6 FTs
McGill: 9 rebounds, t assts, 2 steals, 10 pts
Barry says we had 4000 fans tonight even though "it was colder than a well-digger's" (he either said "schwantz" or "toe'", I forget which) and he thanks them! Place looked almost empty - hard to believe.

I love it when we play well and win but I always worry it might help BBQ get another year!!
Official attendance was 4,076. Have we ever found out if the official number is butts in the seats or total tickets passed out?
I'm not sayin' -- I'm just sayin'!

I think it has been well established/assumed it is tickets sold
Needed a win, Good Win, I didn't know how good of a team Indiana State was until BH told everyone in post game interview how good of a team siu beat tonight. He also said there were 4,000 fans there, Reis said there were 2000 fans and it was smallest crowd of the year.
Nice win. Great game by Fletcher. No way in Hell there were even close to 4,000 fans there. I thought the last drive to hoop for a layup by McGill (when the Sycamores were standing there allowing him to dribble out the clock) was fairly classless. Barry lives to see another day.
It's painfully obvious that the offense needs to go through Fletcher first, Pippen second, and then the best available shot / option on the floor after those two. If Armon can take control of this team, that will open up Pippen and the rest of the guys since it creates an offensive hierarchy.
As we played well last night I sat there and though... "is this man going to save his job with a patented FEB run".... now I'm sad. Someone talk me off the ledge. Tell me Kill is still pissed. Save me.
Barry said he was going to try something different last night and he did. It was obvious from the opening tip that he turned the team loose. They were putting up shots early in the clock, just letting it fly. It actually worked as the team was having fun and being aggressive. Whether that will work on the road against Bradley on e road we'll have to see.
