I actually like this proposal if an attempt is made for college basketball to happen this fall. It minimizes the risk of teams getting infected with the virus and could cut down on the travel expenses of many teams during the non conference portion of the season. Have others looked at it and what are your thoughts?
Can't read it without subscription. I don't see basketball happening until January -- if and only if there's a vaccine by December.
Too many refusing to wear masks , stay out of bars, social distance - all the things that would help.
I am sure there are several members here old enough to remember when some parents would host "chickenpox parties". Chickenpox is much more severe on adults, so to ensure their kids would be exposed and have chickenpox when they were young, parties were hosted by a parent of a child that had chickenpox so all the kids would get it at the same time.
I am sure this practice decreased after the vericella vaccine was introduced in 1995.

Different pods around the country. They put SIU in Louisville with Austin Peay, Bellarmine, Indiana, Kentucky, Morehead State, Murray State, Western Kentucky.
I like the idea. I feel like the pod listed above is somewhat loaded. I wonder how the strength of schedule would balance out across the country.
