What did Muila do to you? Kick your mother and f@@k your dog? He's a very good defensive player. Stop showing what an absolute idiot you are.Muila should not be playing unless Rupert and Hornecker both foul out.
@Barkeep has already warned said poster, I think multiple times, of his near constant HATE of JD. I get not liking a player, I really do. But when more than half your posts are about a singular player, there is something odd. When you post in every game that he didn't even play, something is odd. Again, I'm all about free speech but there is a point where a line is crossed and this happens all too often for this poster regarding this one singular player. JD is a Saluki and represents the University with class, even if he has fallen short of his own expectations.
Dont forget the other half of his posts about this entire season’s accomplishments being invalid because of the one D2 game. Sprinkle in an occasional “WE SHOULD NEVER RECRUIT TRANSFERS AND JUCO PLAYERS!”
Lol
Literally never once said the season was invalid because of one D2 game. Just that there should never be a non D1 game on the schedule. And with two fewer games to schedule, having a D2 is inexcusable. This goes for every Valley school, not just SIU.
Also never said SIU should avoid the transfer portal. I said they should try to limit the one year guys and grad transfers.
I stand by my stance on JUCOs. They should be avoided as much as possible. The only halfway decent JUCOs SIU has gotten in the last 20 years are Pippin, Early, and Bol. I know some liked Mike Rodriguez but while he had some good games on O here or there he was horrid defensively and as a distributor. Eric McGill wasn't really a JUCO recruit, he went D1 out of high school.
Way to completely mischaracterize me.
Just wondering if any one else noticed what player was running the "point" in the final two minutes of tonight's game?
Where has AJ been? Wow!
This team's identity is starting to emerge. The pieces to the puzzle are starting to emerge. This game is just what the doctor ordered. Insert your favorite cliche now.
12 minutes. 2 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 foul. He is still a work in progress.How much PT for Cade? Over/under 10 minutes.

James Madison
was at the game . That is the team I was hoping for and expecting this year. Loved the fact that we were going to the basket more and not settling on the 3. Ball movement was much better. Less standing around . I know it was D2 team but there was still a ton to like about the game. I look forward to us moving forward and building on this game. Go Dawgs
Where has AJ been? Wow!
With Ferguson giving the coaches something to think about last night, Muila back and Ebube hopefully only a week away, the rotation decisions are only going to get trickier for Mullins and Co. That's 13 scholarship guys available, many of whom have been rotation players for multiple years. Not easy to juggle that many guys.
My concern is that the younger guys with upside (Wonders, Ebube, Rupert, Hornecker, Ferguson) take a backseat to the veterans with whom Mullins has proven to be most comfortable. I hope he keeps an open mind about trying some creative lineups and taking some chances with the young guys ... their talent is much-needed if Southern is going to break through beyond being a slightly above average team.
The building for the future is always a precarious process in today's portal world. Mullins and his staff have been done well with additions better than the subtractions. From the post-game interview last night, Mullins is well aware of what he has in A.J. Ferguson and it is very probable that we will be seeing a lot more of him this season.
Siu did what was expected, won the game big and dominated. Got some pt for some players and hopefully some confidence. Sometimes seeing the ball go through the net a few times can get players going. I'm not for playing d2 teams but maybe siu got something out this game, time will tell
We’re not gonna know much about this team until the Murray State game and definitely the Drake game.
Ebube may be back for those two games. Pretty important to get him in the rotation.We’re not gonna know much about this team until the Murray State game and definitely the Drake game.
I've said from the jump I think we've gotten a steal in Ferguson. He's long, hyper-athletic, a good wing defender with a nose for disrupting passing lanes, and he has a nice stroke from 3.
I believe he scored 12 and had several athletic plays in the preseason game against Alabama. I'd like to see him playing a lot more. He could provide things SIU really needs, particularly defensively on the perimeter.
--Insert something witty here--
I still think
Ebube->Hornecker
Rupert->D'Amico
Domask->D'Amico/Ferguson
Jones->Wonders/Brown/Ferguson
Johnson/Banks
Is the beat rotation. Muila and Newton can get minutes if the game is in hand already.
