These last 4 games have been a breath of fresh air. Love the coaching staff, team and the way they are playing.
Even booked a trip down to Carbondale for the Bradley game.
Dawgs are back!
Attendance was 4,912. Actually kind of surprised by that, looked great on TV. Pretty sure everyone that bought a ticket showed up.
Yeah I heard Connor onion guess 6,000. That was a loud 4,912! Visitors will be REALLY frightened when we start drawing 6,000+
i think this can be explained by having a whole lot more no-shows previously. when we thought we were looking at 4,000 it was really 2,700 with 1,300 no-shows. we sold just 600 more tickets but I'm guessing there were very few ticket holders who missed this game. i know traffic was heavier. we had a skewed perception of how many people were in the building previously. the good news is that it is trending up! it will be nice to have a saturday home game to get that number even higher.
Great turnout when competing against the Wednesday night church crowd.
Awesome to see a coach who can inspire his players to give 100%, some go to 120% with the crowd helping.
Something I have seen Weber do, and Painter, push, pull, poke, prod, break your clipboard, break your foot, whatever it takes to inspire a give it all attitude.
Calling out worthless poo never gets it done.
Blaming a fictions sniper, or public shaming doesn't get it done.
(Okay, those were quotes from the previous 2 coaches)

This video needs to be on the front page of the web site. Great win last night. MetroEast crowd might have to make a trip down there.
It was especially impressive to notch the W with Domask having an off night. Speaking of which, I'm wondering with his heavy minutes this year if he's hitting a bit of a freshman wall, as evidenced by his uncharacteristic FT misses the past couple games. Might not be be a bad idea to give him a lighter practice or two to get his legs back.
I have been concerned about the minutes some of these guys are racking up too (esp. Domask and McGill). I trust Mullins to be on top of that in the way you suggest, especially given his own experience as a player with overwork and a stress fracture. (Or was it two stress fractures?)
Davis, Gooch, and Francois combined for only 18 minutes last night. We need more quality minutes from those guys to save the starters' legs.
(Inflammatory political snark)
Porter was hating on the refs, seemed like every call he screaming. Lol

Agreed. Bench scoring has been spotty at best for much of the season, just a byproduct of a roster that isn't very deep from an offensive firepower standpoint, especially minus Cook. If Cook were playing, Jones could have been used as a nice spark off the bench.
I wouldn’t mind seeing more minutes from Karrington. Thought he looked pretty good last night in the short time he played. You can tell he’s getting some explosiveness back. Nearly brought down the Arena with a dunk across the baseline. I think you’ll see the bench get more minutes in the upcoming games, they went all out for the win yesterday and needed every minute from McGill.
I wonder if Jeremic is close to playing again, not sure what he is but seems like he could be a valuable body in short spurts to let Benson sit.
I see Jeremic hasn't played since December. Is he injured, or just not ready yet? Agree it would be nice if he could get some minutes if Benson gets in foul trouble and has to sit, God forbid.

He tweaked (sprained) his ankle in a warmup a couple of weeks ago. The last three games though, he's been dressed and participating in pregame warmups. Not sure if Bryan is giving him more time, or isn't ready to play him yet.
Could be he wants to get him completely healthy before throwing him in the fire. We are going to need a healthy big to spell Benson down the stretch and into the tourney. Aggravating that ankle, despite the guy not posing a real offensive threat, could jeopardize the teams options when it counts when Benson gets into foul trouble.
That said, the guy is dressed to play. It may just be a matter of time.

Like I said, that donkey anuuss was more obnoxious than I've seen him all year (I've seen them play a number of times). Wanted to pay BM back for leaving maybe? Refs should have teed him up!

The athletic dept was covering BBQ's tush for some reason. Can't believe we put up with that mediocre, self-serving bag of wind for so long!

His act gets old.
It's so nice to have a professional coach.
