Got my ticket for tomorrow night...and a parking ticket too!

SIU Parking Division and I go waaay back. It's like they knew I was on campus today. Heyyyyy! Rabid is back! Lets show him how much we miss him! Let's make sure the parking meter won't activate when he puts his money in, then issue him a citation in the five minutes it takes him to go in and get a ticket to the game!

@salukiworld

How did Mullins find these guys?

I think it is clear that being smart is as important to Mullins as being talented. Brown, Domask, Benson, et al. sound like grownups in these and the post-game interviews. And TBF, Hinson recruited another smart kid in Jones.These guys represent the university well.

I like Benson a lot. Watch some of those post-game vids that SalukiWorld posts: he is a leader.

Can thank the Wolves connection for Benson.  Even though he's only gonna be at SIU for a year, Benson might be the most important person in Mullins turning this around more quickly than we thought.  The coaches have raved about how important he's been for the younger guys in making their transition to college easy both on and off the court.

I am looking for a good close game.  I think the players, having played them there already, know that we can beat them if we are playing at our best.  Did a pretty good job on Krutwig up there and have to do that again.  I really love the confidence they have been able to build knowing they can come back and finish at the end.  A big crowd will really help a lot.

Here is the box score from the first meeting. They out-shot us by nearly 20% from the floor.

Sources tell me that ticket sales are relatively slow. Hopefully there will be a strong walk-up showing tomorrow  by Saluki fans. That's quite disappointing.

Well, I'll be there to root on the Dawgs as always! I don't care about the potential weather! I love what Coach Mullins has done to this point! This team looks leaps and bounds better than what many expected!

Looks like there are A LOT of seats available online.. It will be disappointing if fans don’t show for this game.  It sounds like several people on this board will be there, hopefully the locals step up.

I won't be surprised if it's not a packed house. As exciting as the last 1-2 weeks have been, most casual fans probably aren't motivated enough to come back quite yet, especially for a mid-week game. More winning will take care of that and I'm confident that will happen under Mullins.

I looked at the available tickets the day of the UNI game and there’s definitely more tickets sold tonight.  Still lot of available seats though compared to past years.  My guess is, season ticket sales were down this year with the team picked last and people not bought in yet.  Hopefully more people will be bought in before next season.

Agree.  The process of rebuilding a program from scratch and rebuilding that same fan base is much the same.  Both take time.

Going to games as a season ticket holder becomes a habit. A lot of those habits were broken and getting some of those people back won't happen overnight. I will be there and hope for a nice crowd but do not expect a packed house and the blame for that lies with some past decision makers.
