Big news for #Loyola. Tribune has learned the program reached contract deal through 2026 with coach Porter Moser after he led Ramblers to Final Four.

Good for Porter--eight years of Gonzaga Money--hope it works out for the fans--we'll see

What idiots! Don't they know you're only supposed to reward mediocrity with contract extensions? WTF???

These kind of extensions only benefit the coach. He can get out whenever he wants but the school can't.

That's what Loyola did.  Career record: 226–211 (.522)  Don't forget that this was the first season that one of his teams finished higher than 5th in any conference in which he has coached.

Loyola did what they had to do and you can't blame them, but they probably got taken.

At least he didn't bolt to another school. That would have meant Mullins would have been the new Loyola head coach.  He will be available now when SIU finally cans Hinson's ass after this next season.

After today's announcement, I don't have any faith that Hinson will be gone after this next season.

I think I'm in agreement with that now.  Unless he finished 7th or worse, I think he stays as long as he wants to.

Hopefully Moser isn't a little off in the head and comes unglued with a few more nickels in his pocket.  Everyone around here knows how that story plays out.

We'll have seasons with 4 or 5 Div IIs on the schedule if that's what it takes to make 20 wins.

http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/23500858/donations-loyola-chicago-ramblers-increased-660-percent-final-four-run.

A trip to the Final Four for Loyola-Chicago has resulted in a 660 percent increase in donations as compared to the previous year, the school announced Monday.

The donation money doesn't include additional licensing revenue, which hasn't been tallied yet. Sorboro said that the school had at least 30 new licensees come aboard to make merchandise. Some licensed their team chaplain Sister Jean Dolores-Schmidt, who became the darling of the tournament. One of those licensees was the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame, which sold more than 17,000 bobbleheads of the nun, a company record. Sorboro said that Sister Jean approved of the school licensing her name and image, but did not ask for anything in return.
