Hey VA,  Jerry could only communicate with potential HC's with the consent of the AD at the school where they are currently coaching.  Jerry couldn't even read their resumes.  We're all big boys and know the way of the world, but many AD's don't want to even dip their toes in the hot water.  I have more confidence in Jerry than I had in Mocca or Bell.

I'm not sayin' -- I'm just sayin'!

IF all the insider information is to be believed Bell wanted Hinson gone, Kill didn’t.  Remind me why we should have more confidence in Kill?

A mid season change would only mean firing the HC.  The assistant coaches would then try to regroup and finish out the season on a positive note.

The advantage by firing the HC now is you get a jump-start on all of the other schools that will be making coaching changes at the end of the year.  Every year there are 20-30 coaching changes, so Jerry Kill could start getting resumes in now and also field calls from the sports agents who represent existing coaches.  This is no longer a great job, but still an upgrade for many up and comers who are at small D-1 schools, or assistants looking for an opportunity.  The AD just has to make a good decision and not another Gottfried, Van Winkle, or Hinson!

Unless there is a major problem I do not see SIU putting Hinson out to pasture mid season. (we need another viral press conference)

I could see Kill and Beane coaching half the season should Hinson Grow a set and leave.

30 min after loss in St Louis, I could see.

I'm not so sure... There is urgency right now.  It does not take a genius to realize this team needs to get to somewhere around 8-10 9-9 to avoid the play in... That is still possible.  If they avoid the play in they are as likely as anyone to win 3... I think Kill sees that this season could be salvage and an in season change may be the best bet at making that happen.  I think we need to get to 9-9 to be safe but given our NET is 3rd in the valley and we have wins over Missouri State and a sweep over UNI there is a decent chance 8-10 gets it done.  This is likely the last chance to win for a couple years, i think thats where the urgency is coming from.

Wouldn't this statement tell us that it probably won't happen in season? If he does not trust him now, that likely wont change.

Can’t say I disagree with Kill .  Beane is currently the coach that Hinson is relying on to run the train wreck this year.   So We won’t see a change mid season ?

Kill is really fed up. Another  blowout loss at home will probably up his trust level in somebody else.

I don’t have the answers and I can’t read the future. I just know that kill is done with the BBQ show

Uh oh... so was Tommy Bell. I'm hoping he's got a plan to make this stick.

Why would you trust AB?  He shopped he and both kids around to various programs, hoping to make a move.

The guy who cut off the tree limb behind Tommy is now deceased. The guy who held the saw has now soured on BBQ.  2/3rds of the problem are no longer an issue.

Craving a McBride Special!
