I was wondering about Matt McMahon from Murray State and then found this article. I guess we can rule him out.
Is Bryan Mullins still in the conversation as a candidate for the coaching position?
WOOF!

"Earlier this month, Murray State basketball coach Matt McMahon signed a contract extension that will keep him in Murray through the 2021-22 season. Today, we now know more about the specifics in the contract. Between his salary and media obligations, McMahon will be paid $400,000 per season. Jun 26, 2018"
Even if he hadn’t gotten a raise the chances of us taking a coach from Murray is exactly 0%. Murray coaches leave there for BCS jobs, not for here
My guess is SIU either ends up with an assistant or retread but Casey Alexander from Lipscomb should be on a list

Power 5 programs are going to be knocking on his door starting in March. I don't see why he'd take a lateral move at this stage.
Dana Ford. They owe us!
Craving a McBride Special!
Calm down have a beer and relax. You know who the next coach is. Do not over think things

So it’s a done deal ? No other candidates will be considered? I would hope we would at least take a look at all candidates.
I know who the target is and I know that their is a high level of mutual interest
Can you imagine what point guard Mullins could do with point guard Cook in one year?
While I would be very happy with Mullins, I still feel there will be other candidates.

It's always good to see what's out there but I have clear memories of Mullins bringing the ball downcourt, which paired with intelligence, a drive to succeed and passion for Saluki basketball makes him damn attractive as our next coach. Oh, and he has some serious connections in Chicago.

I wonder why there are none of his dad's players on the loyola roster. Not a swipe, just curious.
