Was just told there is another school in the mix for Bryan. I can not confirm this yet nor do I know who it is. I will pass along anything I hear
I don’t see anything out there yet really unless DePaul makes a move. That could be problematic
all this i keep reading about cLow has scared me. is he really a candidate?
That blogger had the wrong SIU. He meant E and they don't want him either.
Craving a McBride Special!
I hear Marty Simmons is a possibility for little E! He had success there before when they were DII. That might be a good gig for Old Marty, and he could hire his Lawrenceville buddy Doug Novsek as an assistant.

Good grief, that's Tony Barone's kid--well, now I feel old(er)!

Realistically who would offer Mullins that would be more enticing than SIU? He is not going from Loyola Associate Head Coach to a Power 5... Likely not even an A-10 or American School. Even if another school is involved I would expect them to be a lower level or of similar stature as SIU... In which case, advantage school he played for and has ties to.... Assuming he was not low balled...
And if he does turn it down, I am not going the recycled route. I want someone young, energetic, that connects with kids and hypes the program.

Don't you think it's probably just posturing to bump the salary, benefits, etc?
I'm not sayin' -- I'm just sayin'!
Don’t kill the messenger I just know what I was told

There are many schools of higher stature between SIU and Power 5 schools. Bryan Mullins is not an unknown.
an instersting find-
some options I don't see here, Purdue assistants Greg Gary and Steve Lutz, Minnesota assistant and former Milwaukee head coach Rob Jeter, former Oregon State head coach Craig Robinson, and, if they're fired, Nebraska head coach Tim Miles and Penn State head coach Pat Chambers.

He’s not unknown but Saluki4Life has a solid point. SIU is taking a huge risk themselves by hiring him let alone a power conference member. Especially DePaul.
herosports posited that CLo had a chance at a return, I am going to automatically discount any names they put forward from here on out.

EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. (AP) — Southern Illinois-Edwardsville says it won't renew the contract of basketball coach Jon Harris.
Harris was 31-88 over four seasons. The Cougars were defeated last week in the first round of the Ohio Valley Conference tournament.
Athletic director Brad Hewitt says the school will search for a coach who has led a program and has Division I experience under "high-quality mentors."
That sure doesn't make it sound like any assistants are going to be promoted.
