This is a game that should never have been scheduled. What purpose does it serve?

I can (somewhat grudgingly) live with one non-DI regular season game but the fact that there are two is a scheduling lump of coal in the holiday season.
IF a game has to get banged due to the damn COVID resurgence, please make it one of these two.
Start each half with the starters and then max playing time for everyone else.
A. Have Wonders and Ebube officially been redshirted?
B. Can they play because this is not a D1 game?

They cannot play in any regular season game and still redshirt. A redshirt is never official until the season has concluded.
A coach and player can state their intention that a player plans on redshirting, but a redshirt cannot be granted until the season has concluded.
If at the end of the season a player has not played in any regular season and post season games they retain that year of eligibility. They get a total of 6 years to use 4 years of eligibility.
Thank you for your insightful response!

So is what you're saying is the redshirt year does not count as one of the 6 years? If that's the case what about a player that redshirts after their freshman year?

It does count against the 6 years you are allowed to complete 4 years of eligibility. Following your redshirt freshman year you would have 5 years to complete your 4 years of eligibility. That would allow you to transfer, sit out a year and still play for 4 years. It would also allow you to take an additional medical redshirt year, should you qualify. Of course, since the ncaa changed the transfer rules, the transfer sit year does not apply as often as it used to. 1st time transfers no longer have to sit a year. 2nd time and subsequent transfers still have to sit a year.

Thank you for the explanation. I wasn't sure how that worked.
This should be interesting, if for no other reason than to see how much the bench gets to play and how small of a crowd there is at the arena.
Lance Jones sitting this one out. About time. I would keep him there until conference play starts.
let’s get that ankle right
I wonder who, besides Banks, will we see at point. All I can think of would be Verplanken.
Banks, Verplancken, Domask, Muila and Coupet are starting, per Reis
