@gobluesaluki I believe it is turf toe not an ankle as stated in previous pregame interviews

On the pregame radio Watson interviewed Brown, and it sounds like Brown also had this back issue in high school. Hadn’t heard that before. Brown said he hopes to be back playing “in the next couple weeks,” but obviously it depends on how he feels. Also said surgery has not been a serious consideration.

I’m not sure why there’s a D-2 flgame being played before your last big OOC game especially under these circumstances. Hopefully they stay healthy into next week.

Just go inside all game and should be an easy win.

Coupet has so much confidence now.  Becoming a big time scorer.

Way too many turnovers, can’t let a D2 team hang around

Maryville keeping it close.  Didn’t realize this is an exhibition for them but not for SIU.

Weird.

This team consistently turns the ball over way too much

At least Southern hit a bunch of 3s there quickly to make it look like we are playing better against this garbage team than we are.

You really have to wonder why SIU plays poorly against the bad teams and then comes out and does well against more talented teams (except for the actual winning part late in games).

We have done this all fricking season.

Take away that disaster against Little Rock and they've actually been pretty good the rest of the year, only averaging like 10 per game since then. Seems like they turn it over more in the first half though, till Mullins gets on them at halftime and they clean it up.

SIU 37

Maryville 25

Halftime

16 points at the half for Coupet and finishes the half with a slam

Any chance we can have Coupet for a couple more years?
