A poor performance against Bradley sets up the Carbondale Illinois Mega Bowl for 4th place! After we win the cannon will shoot off and the trophy will be glorious!!! 4th place, 4th place!!!!

4th would be a heck of an accomplishment for this group though and would set them up with the best path to making a run… I think we are going to be up for it. I can’t wait!

Assuming they do the usual senior day deal of starting the seniors, it's a bit unnerving that the lineup for the biggest game of the regular season will include RJ McGee and Chris Cross. Bradley got off to a great start with their funky lineup last night but that doesn't mean it'll go similarly for Southern.

That said ... I 1,000 percent embrace the human side of senior day, and Cross has been an outstanding/loyal walk-on, so let's go!

Agree it'll be a great crowd and hopefully Johnson and Brown respond well to the senior day dynamics and the high stakes ... neither has been playing particularly good ball lately, and that'll need to change to get anything done in St. Louis.

I am not sure they will start either... One being a walk on, one being here for just 1 season.  I could be wrong but I think they will just roll with their normal starters.

I have a feeling both teams are going to play well and this is going to be a really good/entertaining game.

I expect to see a lot of Kennard on Heise, who has been their best player. Anderson is a beast on the offensive glass, which surely will be an emphasis after the rebounding woes in Peoria. And on senior day, it could well come down to X and Trent shaking off their recent shooting slumps and rising to the occasion.

It’s a worthy final game of the regular season: pretty high stakes, a tough opponent that is playing well and what should be a great crowd.

Stating the obvious, this is a MUST win.  UNI is not that good.  I've watched almost all their games. They are 5-5 in their last 10.  Their 'best player', Born, has had what might be his worst season, relatively speaking, and significantly worse than last year. SIU needs to get a lead and then keep the foot on the pedal and NOT slow it down with 8+ minutes left.  I won't make any predictions, but I will say, as a bettor, I will not touch this one.  Could be a blow out either way or a 2 OT game.  Let's go !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

5-5 in their last 10 but 5-2 in their last seven with wins over Bradley and Drake. They’ve had some clunkers but when they’re on, they’re a handful.

I know it's Senior Day and discounted tickets are on sale. Add in the battle for a first-round Arch Madness bye and it will be a big, raucous crowd. Any early estimates on the attendance? Would have considered coming up for this one except that my wife has some health issues that require me to stay close to home.

The lower bowl sections on the sides of the courts are almost gone (3 sections are sold out). I would expect this to be the highest attendance game of the year. I’m hoping for close to a sellout with the walk up crowd.

It won't be the most attended game of the season. Lower bowl chair seats are almost sold out because they were $10. There are tons of tickets available behind the basket and in the upper bowl. Unless we have a big student turnout we'll be lucky to get 5500. Sunday afternoon games are not great for attendance.

UNI isn’t a bad team. They’re a lot like us. Capable of beating most teams in the league and capable of losing to most teams in the league but more often they’re on the right side of that. Theyre certainly a different team on the road, they rely on defense and making shots. SIU has to make 3’s to win. UNI always forces that to be the case. It’ll be tight but I’m counting on the good guys coming out on top.
