I would not be writing off anyone based upon their first college game played.

Does anyone who remembers Suggs from his Bradley days know if he has more in his tank than what he showed last night? I was a little underwhelmed. I know he didn't light it up at Mizzou but the fact that Mizzou took a flyer on him made me optimistic.

Suggs won't be a scoring machine. What he brings to the table is solid defense, leadership, hustle and hard-nosed play.

If I were to base a decision on the exhibition game only I would suggest Brown redshirt. However he needs a chance to show what he can do. If he is a great shooter we sure need that on this team. Time will tell. Both teams shot 16% from the 3 pt line.  Not so good. Was it because of the longer distance or 1st game jitters? It did open up more room for a guy like McGill that loves to drive.

Beyond what folks said- Lance Jones has a chance to be a very good guard. He already had the body to play in the MVC. Dude is built like a brick shithouse.  He’s quick and can finish. Really like what I saw from him.

I saw him during the state championship and was very impressed. One of top 10 players in the state last year.

And we beat out the Redturds to get him!!!!

Can't remember when the closed scrimmage is/was with the Ohio team. Any Saluki Insider spies have intel?

Not so much the score, but player performance, rotations, minutes played etc. Understand if the info is unobtainable.

March on triumphantly!

I believe the closed scrimmage was yesterday vs Miami Ohio. I have not heard anything but would like to know as well!

When we signed Trent I believe I mentioned that he was a redshirt candidate as I had concerns about him being able to adjust to the speed of the game at the college level.   That being said, I have high hopes for him and think he will be a very important part of this team during his time here.

We lost 64-61, according to the Illusion.

"The Ramblers struggled offensively throughout the game, shooting just 18-for-49 from the field and 3-for-18 from three-point territory."

(3-for-18)  16% from 3 point range.  Hmmmm.

That's some seriously poor shooting and hopefully way of character for Loyola during the course of the regular season.
