This has got to be the game where they get 6-7K in the arena, right? Saturday night game in February, coming off six straight MVC wins?
I wish they could get a recruit or two on campus for this because I expect a tremendous atmosphere, but at a minimum I'd suspect photos/videos from this one will be helpful on the recruiting trail.
As for the game, Missouri State has obviously been a big disappointment, but they're coming off a blowout win over Illinois State and definitely has the talent to give Southern trouble. They've basically been a team in crisis for weeks now, with Ford shaking up the playing rotation majorly, including starting a walk-on last time out. They've really struggled with PG play, chemistry and injuries. Ford has recruited really well, but his coaching reputation has taken a hit in Year 2. At this point, it will be tricky for the Bears to avoid Thursday, but they still could if they finish strong.
A big group must have bought a bunch of tickets behind the basket opposite the Dawg Pound because there’s not many tickets left. The lower and upper levels still have a bunch of tickets available but being a Saturday Night, I’m sure there’s a nice walk-up crowd
Driving up from Atlanta!
This is an interesting match-up when you compare preseason standings to current. The two teams have essentially flipped spots. It's surprising for MSU considering how much hype there was in the preseason about Dana Ford and his recruiting.
I’ll do a full preview later since we haven’t seen them yet but their tallest player(s) is 6’8 (that gets regular minutes) but they play a pretty overall tall lineup. 6’5 Keandre Cook plays point guard and they play 6’8 Gaige Prim at Center. I’m not really sure if that plays to our benefit or not.

Cook is by no means a natural PG. Their two point guards going into the year have been busts (the Middle Tennessee transfer wasn't playing well and is now out for the year with an injury, and their true freshman Ford Cooper isn't quite ready for primetime). Cook is really a wing. Prim is a load and has a pretty nice touch for a bruiser ... he's been a bright spot for them this year, but their PG issues have probably prevented the Bears from maxing out what he can do.

I completely forgot about Dixon. I saw him when he was at Middle Tennessee and was impressed with him when he was playing with Giddy Potts, Nick King, and Reggie Upshaw as a Freshman and Sophomore
Is there any pre-game get together spot ? Losing Pinch leaves a big void.
I saw Prim's leg injury / pain is back so his minutes may be limited Saturday
If you like to read what other schools have to say about SIU, there's a small discussion on p. 6 of this thread on the Missouri State board. Some nice things said about Mullins and this team.
