Coppin State picked 7th in the MEAC preseason poll.
We play NC Central on 11/26. They were picked to win the MEAC, but got whipped by S.F.Austin. last week.
Keep it in context. They barely beat a Bad Ball state team at home in their first game. Great win but probably a fluke
Yeah, call me a reactionary. I'll own it!
I didn't go into this season thinking Evansville would do much, but they have some length on the perimeter and a couple of guys who can score in multiple ways. I wouldn't mind seeing them have a good year. Good for them. Good for the Valley.

Loyola loses to a very bad Coppin State team . The real Porter Moser is beginning to show up without Mullins
My thoughts exactly!!
I wonder if Jacob Hutson still has time to change his verbal commitment to Bryan and Company? 😉
I've said all along that Loyola could struggle this year. I think Bryan held that thing together more than people realize. An exceptional associate head coach is so vital to a program.

The real Porter Moser has been here all along. They underachieve every year. Somehow, the one year they didn’t underachieve they made the freakin Final Four 🤣
They underachieve every year.
I wish we could underachieve like that, winning the conference basketball title two years in a row! 😀
Loyola made marked improvements when Mullins started coaching.

Like BBQ Barry there was a reason he went away from Ill state.
I still don’t get how Loyola lost to Barry Hinson on Friday in St. Louis with Milton Doyle on his roster.
Bracketology has Northern Iowa in at a 13 seed.
I may be proved wrong but, other than A.J. Greene, I wasn't impressed UNI's lack of talent last year.
Think they're overrated. Time will tell.
UNI beat NIU, picked 2nd in the MAC West, by 10 in Dekalb. Darius Beane played in the exhibition game but hasn't played since, Maybe he has to sit out a year.
Beane played 25 minutes the other night. I heard he missed a couple of games with an injury.
Two wins down, two games to go for the Valley tonight.
UNI needed OT to fend off Northern Colorado and improve to 4-0, while Loyola had a nice bounce-back from the awful Coppin State loss and beat St. Joe's by 17 in Chicago.
Tonight, it's Bradley vs. UIC and the Dawgs and Dons.
ISU Red almost had a nice win against UCF today, but choked down the stretch. Bad for The Valley.
Evansville gets 43 votes and sits at #30 in the AP poll after their big week. 🤣
