Tough to see JFL transfer - Valpo will pretty much be guaranteed to land in the 6-9 range now (Evansville has to already be cemented for the 10 slot) without him.
What kids seem to forget nowadays is if you're really NBA-level good, you'll end up there. It doesn't matter what level you're playing at, it'll show through.
If you're fringe NBA talent, or just not good enough, playing in a power 6 conference won't put you over the top.
Loyalty doesn't carry the same weight that it used to.

Indiana transfer to Loyola
He was a 4 star out of high school. Will be a very good player in the Valley!
That will give Loyola six players 6'7" or taller on their roster for next season!
That will also depend on the transfer vote. He may have to sit one to play two.

Indiana transfer to Loyola
My way too early (and bold) predictions for the upcoming season:
1. Loyola will be better than UNI, and win the MVC
2. Both Loyola and UNI will make the NCAA Tournament
3. SIU will finish in the top 4 of a very competitive MVC
You heard it here first...
@dr222 Transfer rule all but dead now per committee.
I understand @freshman63, but there is still several conflicting reports out there on the transfer rule change. Some of the conflicts were, two weeks ago it was going to be voted on at the may 20, 2020 Council meeting. Last week it was reported that the vote would happen, but not until January of 2021. It is now being reported that it could vote on the guideline changes during the May 20, 2020 Council meeting but its implementation may be delayed due to COVID-19. I guess we will find out for sure after the scheduled May 20, 2020 Council meeting.
The latest link I could find is the one below from from April 30, 2020.

Transfers
The groups also received an update from the Transfer Waiver Working Group. That group, appointed by the board last fall, was charged with studying potential changes to the waiver process. Waiver guidelines can be changed at any time, and that group has recommended that waiver guidelines allow the opportunity for a one-time transfer waiver for student-athletes in the five sports not legislatively allowed to transfer and compete immediately: men’s basketball, women’s basketball, baseball, men’s ice hockey and football. The waiver criteria would mirror the legislative opportunity for student-athletes in other sports. The Division I Council could vote on the guideline changes as early as its May meeting.
The waiver working group also recommended the board lift the moratorium on transfer legislation to allow the membership to consider proposals that could provide permanent access to the one-time transfer opportunity for all Division I student-athletes.
The board agreed to lift the moratorium on transfer legislation for the 2020-21 legislative cycle but recommended to the Council that changes to the waiver process as suggested by the working group are not appropriate at this time. Board members recommended the waiver process be sensitive to student-athlete well-being, especially those impacted by COVID-19 in the interim period.
I doubt very seriously any change will be implemented for next season, even if they vote on the originally planned date and approve it. Too much uncertainty.
