Ford has been an absolute beast on the recruiting trail. Bears boosters better start digging into those wallets.

Oh boy

Missouri State has landed West Virginia transfer Lamont West, source told @Stadium. HUGE for Dana Ford.

Per Jeff Goodman

West will be a matchup nightmare for just about everyone in the league. He can play just about anywhere on the floor at 6'8" - 225.  He made 55 3s last season.

West will be Player of the Year next year in the MVC and Missourri State is now the favorite to win the conference title.

It remains to be seen if he can coach but Ford was such a home fun hire for Missouri State.  West is a great pick-up and they also have a Nevada transfer and Middle Tennessee transfer that will contribute right away.

If he's half as good a bench coach as he is a recruiter, they will do some major damage. And I would say he did a pretty good job coaching his first Missouri State team last season.

They are going to have crazy depth if they stay healthy because in addition to the D-I transfers you mentioned, they have a highly touted JUCO big, plus a talented freshman class coming in.

Oh no doubt, he did a good job at Tennessee State as well so my guess is he’s going to be more than a decent coach.  Wouldn’t be surprised if big programs don’t start sniffing around soon so hopefully Missouri State is ready to keep him.

Unless this guy is Ja Morant, I expect Bradley to be the favorite. They have their whole team returning, and by the end of the year, they were pretty darn good. Darrell Brown POY?

Barring major roster defections, Bradley will be the preseason favorite. However, if Missouri State stays healthy and gels, it'll be hard to keep the Bears from snatching that top spot.

My vote, at this minute, would be Mo State.  Situations are still rapidly changing in the MVC.  The Bears have energy, the Braves have Wardle.

Dixon, Kreklow, and Webster are all gone I believe. That's a lot to replace, especially Dixon.

Their talent coming in>talent going out

In both quantity and quality.
