With the News of Milik being suspended again for the millionth time, I think SIU and Loyola will go 1-2 assuming they don't lay an egg at any point of the season.

I suspect Yarborough will be back before conference. If the Redbirds would cut him loose, I’d gain some respect for them. I don’t see Mueller doing that.
I’m expecting Loyola-ISU-SIU to be the top three in that order unless ISU cuts Yarbrough loose, then I’d flip flop SIU into second.
Having read a couple of the preseason mags, this could be a pretty fun year around the conference. There shouldn’t be many easy wins to be had and there will be plenty of close games. Hopefully the conference does well enough in November and December to have legit at-large possibilities in March. This one-bid business is pretty lame.

Valpo has a nice mix of options and plenty of size. If a few of their returning guys take a step forward and the Providence transfer (Fazekas) gives them a big boost, I can see them competing alongside the Illinois schools in the upper half. It will be interesting to see what kind of role Lavender plays as a grad transfer.
I hope Lavender plays like crap and gets shut down in every game he plays in.
