I actually think they're 1 over right now so if Mosley is going to be back, which they expect, they'll likely see another transfer:

https://twitter.com/WyattWheeler_NL/status/1518998590030589959

This is what I have for their offseason right now:

Added:

F Jonathan Mogbo (from JUCO) 14.3 PPG, 10.3 RPG, 3.3 APG

G Bryan Trimble Jr. (from Akron) 10.4 PPG, 2.1 RPG, 0.7 APG

G Matthew Lee (from Saint Peter's) 6.8 PPG, 1.8 RPG, 2.9 APG

F Dalen Ridgnal (from Georgia) 2.7 PPG, 2.9 RPG, 0.4 APG

G Alston Mason (from Oklahoma) 1.4 PPG, 0.4 RPG, 0.2 APG

G Chance Moore (from Arkansas) 1.0 PPG, 0.6 RPG, 0.0 APG

Lost:

G Ja'Monta Black 8.7 PPG, 3.1 RPG, 0.9 APG (transferred to Northwestern State)

G Lu'Cye Patterson 7.4 PPG, 2.7 RPG, 2.2 APG

G Demarcus Sharp 5.0 PPG, 3.4 RPG, 4.0 APG (transferred to Northwestern State)

G Elijah Bridgers 2.0 PPG, 0.8 RPG, 0.0 APG

G Skylar Wicks 1.0 PPG, 0.8 RPG, 0.3 APG

F Melvyn Ebonkoli 0.7 PPG, 0.8 RPG, 0.2 APG

Declared for NBA Draft:

Isiaih Mosley 20.4 PPG, 6.2 RPG, 2.3 APG

Just to much movement for me I would like some continuity for both being a fan and a teammate

9+ scholarship players out of 13 from last years squad not coming back, 7+ are transfers. That's ridiculous in my opinion. Very bad culture. No way they can be a close squad with any kind of chemistry early in the season. I think it will show on the court. They may get better as the season progresses, but they will have some serious growing pains. I expect them to start the season poorly.

I thought Ford was loved by all his players. Wow 9 player departure.

Seems to me like they're trying to go with a quick fix knowing Mosley is likely back and done after this year.

It's an interesting strategy, wouldn't be shocked if they're the preseason favorites and get off to a slow start but they should have the most talented roster in the Missouri Valley.

If Drake's core returns (Penn/Wilkins/DeVries/Sturtz), they'll be the favorite. They also add a few helpful newcomers and should get Samake (who missed last year with an injury) back as an athletic big.

You can certainly argue that Missouri State's roster is more talented top to bottom if Mosely returns, but Drake has a degree of credibility that Missouri State does not after underperforming regularly with some talented rosters.

I'm not sure their transfers are all that earth shattering:

Mason from Oklahoma played sparingly, if at all.

Moore from Arkansas played sparingly, if at all.

Ridgnal from Georgia played very little for a historically bad Georgia team.

Mogbo had good JUCO numbers, but JUCO transfers are always a bit of a crap shoot and there is definitely an adjustment period.

Trimble from Akron had ok numbers for a pretty decent mid major in an inferior league, but definitely not an eye popping talent.

Lee from St Peters had fairly pedestrian numbers for a pretty good mid major.

Of the 9 players not coming back, 6 were good, key players for them:

Primm (starter) 2nd leading scorer, leading rebounder

Black (starter) 3rd leading scorer

Minnett 4th leading scorer

Patterson (starter) 6th leading scorer, assists leader along with Mosely and starting PG.

Sharp 7th leading scorer

Haney 8th leading scorer and a big talent. Played valuable minutes for them as a true freshman and will be a very good player wherever he transfers.

Clay is a good player who is coming back. Mosely is a great player, if he comes back. If Mosely comes back I think they have a chance to be pretty good, but I think there is a good chance they still won't be as good as they were this year. If Mosely doesn't come back I think they will struggle. Primm was a huge loss and Black, Minnett, Patterson and Haney were all significant losses. The transfers have a lot to prove, especially the ones who have virtually played very little, if any D1 basketball.

Here's where they rank on the portal rankings with 2023 projections:

Added:

#161 G Chance Moore (from Arkansas) 6.8 OBPR, 7.8 DBPR, 14.6 BPR

#251 G Matthew Lee (from Saint Peter's) 0.0 OBPR, 8.5 DBPR, 8.5 BPR

#320 G Bryan Trimble Jr. (from Akron) 9.0 OBPR, -3.1 DBPR, 5.9 BPR

#472 G Alston Mason (from Oklahoma) -3.4 OBPR, 3.6 DBPR, 0.2 BPR

#628 F Dalen Ridgnal (from Georgia) 2.1 OBPR, -5.3 DBPR, -3.2 BPR

F Jonathan Mogbo (from JUCO) 14.3 PPG, 10.3 RPG, 3.3 APG (Doesn't include JUCO/D2/D3 players)

Added: 14.5 OBPR, 11.5 DBPR, 26.0 BPR

Lost:

#144 G Ja'Monta Black 14.0 OBPR, 1.3 DBPR, 15.3 BPR (transferred to Northwestern State)

#181 G Lu'Cye Patterson 11.6 OBPR, 1.1 DBPR, 12.7 BPR

#225 G Demarcus Sharp 10.3 OBPR, -0.5 DBPR, 9.9 BPR (transferred to Northwestern State)

#379 G Skylar Wicks 1.4 OBPR, 1.5 DBPR, 2.9 BPR

#832 G Elijah Bridgers -3.5 OBPR, -2.9 DBPR, -6.4 BPR

#1004 F Melvyn Ebonkoli -6.6 OBPR, -1.6 DBPR, -8.3 BPR

Lost: 27.2 OBPR, -1.1 DBPR, 26.1 BPR

So if you believe the projections, they've lost a lot of offense but should be much better defensively.  Keep in mind, Mogbo seems like a decent add and he doesn't come into play for the addition projections.  Missouri State was pretty miserable on defense last year at times so seems like their plan is to improve there.

It's going to be really interesting to see how they gel together.  You have Drake and SIU likely the other top 3 teams in the MVC next year building their programs through guys that have been there for 3+ years and then you have Missouri State bringing back Mosley potentially and have a team full of guys you swung on in the portal.

Chase Moore didn't play much, but it was his first year, and on a loaded Arkansas team. He had offers from nearly the entire SEC coming out of high school. I suspect he'll be very good for them.

All good info for analysis, thanks for sharing. The projected numbers don't take into effect the losses to graduation of Primm and Minnett however. Primm was arguably their best defender. He was all conference and a game changer. Minnett was also a good player with a veteran presence. The only players they have coming back that had any impact are Clay and Mosely. That's pretty incredible if you think about it. If Mosely doesn't come back they have only 1 impact coming back! If this was the rec center where you pick your team every day that would be ok, but it might be a problem for a D1 mid major.
