It’s a good thing the MVC got their tournament in last weekend! Also, I too am glad that this wasn’t the year SIU finally made the tournament again. I wonder if it will even be played now that the NBA has suspended its season. While I understand governments around the world are trying to slow the spread to ease the strain on our healthcare systems, it is important people don’t panic because a vast majority of these cases are mild.
“Nebraska head coach Fred Hoiberg been taken to the hospital, source told @Stadium. Was sick, left the game early and was told to go to be checked out immediately.”
ife he test positive the NCAA tournament will not be played this year
NBA season has been suspended. A player is believed to have it. MLS players in Europe are being diagnosed as positive too. Lots impacted by this. I don't advocate for panic, but be responsible and stay away from crowds for a while...it's not a bad idea.
I'm glad the NBA suspended their season when a player announced he was HIV positive a few years ago, a scratch or any blood contact could have transmitted that virus....Oh wait...they didn't!!
By-the-way there was no vaccine for that either.
"According to a Feb. 21 CDC Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report,(www.cdc.gov) the current influenza vaccine has been 45% effective overall against 2019-2020 seasonal influenza A and B viruses."

“Fred Hoiberg was released from a hospital in Indianapolis after testing negative for a preliminary coronavirus screening. Source said flu symptoms. Team was released from locker room and is back at the hotel.”
I look for all the games to be canceled. Everything
Fish are falling from the sky in Rockford. I may not get to work.
I am one of the first people to say the media blows everything out of proportion, but unfortunately I think this is cause for concern. Not panic, but concern. The bad part is, if you are exposed to the coronavirus, you WILL get sick. You may only have a cold or you may be deathly ill, but you will get sick since your body has never been exposed. So the younger people in good health should not be alarmed, but it's the older adults that you will give it too that you need to worry about. I have a feeling the NCAA tournament might not be played. The IHSA just announced today they are only allowed like 60 fans from each school at the game. Really sad to work that hard all year as an athlete and not get to play in front of a great crowd on the big stage. I'm going to be extremely upset if all sporting events are canceled for a couple months. But it might be necessary.
My daughter was supposed to compete at a regional swim meet in Columbia, MO this weekend, but Mizzu cancelled all on-campus athletic events and large gatherings. We were lucky in that we hadn't left yet, but hundreds of people were already in Columbia as the meet was supposed to start this morning (Thurs) and go through Sunday.
I agree we are better to be safe than sorry, but still don't like the fact that others are making decisions that might be an over reaction and their over reaction affects me and my family.
It's also upsetting that, for the most part, this virus can be controlled via decent, common sense hygiene that parents SHOULD be teaching their kids. Cough or sneeze into your arm, NOT your hand or just "out there" and wash your hands often... it's not rocket science.
Big 10 (14) SEC and American conference cancel their tournaments. More to come I am afraid

Chain reaction? NBCSC showed 11 conferences cancelling tourneys as of a few minutes ago. Big East is still on... for now (on FS1).
If you're gonna reply to me in the forums, please quote what I wrote that you're replying to so I have a clue...thanks! 😀

No way in the world the NCAA tournament will be played next week.
No one will ever play in Seattle again!
