Wow! Great writing of a very good story!! Great job Bobber!
Bryan Mullins is back with Saluki basketball, the Bobber is back writing and I was on the edge of my seat fascinated with an exhibition game against a D2 opponent. All feels well with the world again.
Hell yeah!

Nice story. Starting to feel like the good ol' days again. Its going to be fun to see the Mullins' climb to the top of the Valley in the coming years.
Dont know if this is the place but at halftime of the SIU SD game today the interview of Saluki guard Eric McGill stated one of the biggest differences with this staff and last year's staff was attention to detail and the communication to what is expected and where to be on defense was quite eye opening

You mean that the coach yelling "Fist" meant something different each trip up the court?

Eye-opening indeed, even if it's something that most of us suspected all along. Wow--that's really something for a player to--for all intents and purposes--diss the former coaching staff.

Goosebumps! Thanks to Bobber, he's a Saluki treasure.
Bluster and barbeque don't win championships.

Something that has been missing in SIU Men's basketball since the spring of 2004
(last two coaches have only used the hook to pull players out when they didn't do what they wanted.)
Thanks Bobber - this is a fantastic piece. I haven't been fired-up about SIU basketball in 10 or so years, and this article just fuels the fire so much more. I think Bryan is a winner, through and through, and we will see improvement this season and in-season improvement too (something that was sorely missing in the previous Saluki coaching era). This article amplifies how the inherit winning characteristic Bryan (and his brother) possess, and the toughness and smarts they have to become winners and lead others too.
Go Dawgs!

Fully agree.
