This one's over. SIU needed to pick up two against a lackluster UNI team. Hopefully they can regroup and take tomorrow's game.
Not a stretch to think this team will be 1-10 entering the Illinois State series.
This has been a pretty devastating failure of a season so far. Something will need to dramatically change. Foster Wonders isn’t good enough to change the program.
Having a team of freshmen and sophomores would matter more if every team in the conference was losing people next year. They’re not.
Pray that nobody leaves in the off-season. What a turn of events in just four weeks.

Born really is a good player. He's going to torment the Valley for the next 3-4 years.
SIU will now be 2-11 in their last 13 Valley games.
Future might not be as bright as everyone thinks. Maybe we need to be realistic about the heights this program can actually achieve anymore.
Might be brighter too. No reason in H we can't be one of the top programs in this league.

Yep, this. Going to get trounced again next year cause why would anything change? We beating drake next year? No. Loyola? No. It’s all bad.
And Ben Harvey might not be good. Swing and a miss. Yikes.

If they can't win tomorrow and don't have Domask going forward, Illinois State and Valpo might be the only winnable games going forward. They'll get housed on the road at Bradley and Loyola. And probably Missouri State too.

He isn’t the only swing and a miss.

I think I’m just using him because I thought he’d be good. He has not been good.
i think the other guys are developing where I thought they would. I don’t evaluate our ‘big’ men because I don’t evaluate DIII talent.

Harvey the leading scorer with 11, wasn't that good though. 2-8 from the field. Team finished 12-25 from the free throw line (48%). Filewich and Banks were the lone bright spots IMO.

Just stop
lost the only real true post player before the year even started. Now no Domask which if they had I believe they win all 3 games he has been out. Not to mention the best recruiting class in MVC next year. This year is what it is. We will be more than fine going forward
And Ben Harvey might not be good. Swing and a miss. Yikes.
He isn’t the only swing and a miss.
The kid had covid. Give him a break for a bit
@barkeep-1967 the recruiting class thing is fine, but our youth is no longer an advantage since everyone is bringing everyone back.
I don’t look for Harvey to get Defensive Player of the Year.
I think that was a foregone conclusion long before this game. He seems to do OK for a bit, then it is like he goes back to offense-only land just lets the others pick him up on defense.
