exactly. Failure is one thing. Not trying to do anything about it is another. I stayed with them through the Gottfried and Van Winkle years but there is one big difference. Gottfried was fired after three years and Van Winkle after four years. At least they were trying to make it better.

I'd agree if Bol steps up healthy and stays so. I think we should know by mid-July about all new guys being cleared by The NCAA and SIU--that's important for depth.
A Logan College fan had also told me there was a chance 6-11 Aaron Twist might be a preferred walk-on--but I haven't seen anything on that yet either--hopefully he could be a practice player against Pippen and Bol and give us depth if Fall does not respond well physically.
Scheduling continues to be a critical part of SIU making a legit post season tournament.....and obviously winning some games against teams that have a top 40 RPI. The little huckster either doesn't realize of doesn't care about attempting to build a resume that places SIU firmly in a legit post season tournament should The Dawgs perform well against top tier competition. He can pound his chest all he wants about 20 win seasons, but it rings hollow when the victories are against D1 schools that can't sniff at least the top 75.

Unfortunately the last ten years is a pretty low bar. Plus we have a BBQ sauce salesman who has gone a whole career blowing changes to make it to the tournament. We are a fifth place team..
