Sounds like planning this event hasn't exactly been paradise for tournament organizers ...
We've been to St Thomas on a couple of cruises. It is really beautiful. Also we felt safe going out on our own unlike most of the eastern caribbean islands. We won't be able to make it but if anyone wants a caribbean island vacation, I highly recommend St Thomas, especially when our salukis are there.
FWIW, KenPom 2022 has:
Colorado St. at 47, Colorado at 70 and Salukis at 121. Also, Northeastern at 114, Duquesne at 205, Buffalo at 82, Creighton at 59, Bradley at 184 and Brown at 308.
March on triumphantly!

I'm impressed with the MVC rankings as a whole. 4 top 100 teams. I really hope that we can get at least 3 top 50 teams. Maybe even 4. Also seems to follow the common logic in terms of MVC conference predictions for the most part.
We are considering going to the Paradise Jam, but the Emerald Beach Resort looks like a dump and gets very bad reviews. Website only has travel packages that include this resort and I read somewhere they cannot guarantee tickets unless you stay at Emerald Beach Resort. Looks like they are not selling tickets without the package. Is that everyone else's experience?

In a similar boat here, and yeah, that official resort seems about as popular with online reviewers as Chris Lowery was with Saluki fans in 2011 and the Portable Warehouse King's BFF (have to be creative to get around the filters!) was in 2017. From what I understand, they might sell some ticket-only packages in October. Guessing it'll come down to what capacity limitations are put in place given the latest COVID outlook (which doesn't appear to be great in the V.I.) and how many full packages are sold.
Hoping the event comes off safely and is a great experience for the team, but like just about everything these days, COVID has taken a toll.
Fully planned on going to this, but I simply don't want to plan an expensive trip knowing there could be restrictions or even cancelations. Gives me another year to save for the next one. Should be a good and fun tournament though. Go Dawgs !!!
