Second try to post this...

(1) US COVID-19 statistics (February 29, 2020-June 16, 2020): 2,124,000 reported cases and 115,052 deaths
(2) Donald Trump (June 15, 2020) told a group of senior citizens that there would be very few cases of COVID-19 if the US stopped its testing and contact tracing: "If we stop testing right now, we'd have very few cases, actually."
(3) Donald Trump [(Jan 20, 2020), when asked if he's worried about a pandemic]: “No. Not at all. And we have it totally under control. It’s one person coming in from China, and we have it under control. It’s — going to be just fine.”

Definitive? For the BH era?

That would have to be someone who wasn't horrible nor particularly good. Because you specifically say "definitive" instead of "best."

Leo Vincent.

Not bad. Even had a couple of great games. Probably a nice kid too. But just kind of forgettable.

In short, a microcosm of the BH era.

It's pretty clearly Anthony Beane or Desmar Jackson.  Edge to Beane because he was great for 4 years.  Desmar Jackson's Senior season is the best season of the 2010's for the Salukis though.

AB because he was here for four years.  Most talented player was Jackson. Biggest screw job of the decade is that he wasn't first team All-Conference the year he averaged over 18ppg, 2nd in the MVC, and led the league in steals!

Both of those guys looked like NBA players at times!

The poll results are interesting and resoundingly accurate thus far, IMO. I think if you're using a single player to define SIU's decade of mediocrity, its gotta be Anthony Beane. This is certainly not a knock against the kid. He was a helluva player. However, if we're talking "definitive" then nothing says it better than the best recruit a mediocre coach could score in all his years here that would've never happened had said mediocre coach never hired daddy as his top assistant.

As a life-long Saluki fan, the 2010's make me want to vomit.
