SIU comes in at 128 on EvanMiya's preseason rankings

47. Drake

117. Belmont

122. Bradley

128. SIU

132. Missouri State

147. Murray State

159. Northern Iowa

171. Indiana State

227. Illinois State

240. Valpo

281. UIC

345. Evansville

Other than Belmont being way too high, I think this looks pretty accurate.  Notably, they're down on SIU's offense (ignore Loyola in here):

They also project Xavier Johnson as our most impactful player (not sure about that but I think we'd take that!)

@salukiworld  Interesting that they rate two walkons as better players than two of our more highly praised recruits.

I honestly have no idea how they project Freshmen or players that haven't played D1 basketball before.  It's probably why I don't read too much into preseason rankings like this and KenPom, but it's fun to look at.

The KenPom ratings seemed fine for the most part. This one seems way off for the reasons above. Chris cross over Foster Wonders? Belmont over basically the entire conference? This one seems out there to me…

@quatroschallengesaluki

I dont know why anyone takes EvanMiya seriously.

The projections and player ratings are all hilariously bad. The equivalent of those weird MLB trade idea websites.

They are trash.
