Do we have any inkling as to which players are most likely/or eligible to return next year?
Everyone is eligible to return except for Dibba and Hensley. Rodney Watson mentioned recently in passing something about Hensley possibly being able to petition for another year if he wishes. I would say Massey is the the most likely candidate to transfer. I would imagine that's almost set in stone given his total benching the last half of the season. Bey could be another candidate as he doesn't seem as tuned in on the bench as the coaches would like. What kind of money we can provide to Davis and Elliott will probably determine whether they stay or not. However, with Elliott coming off a severe knee injury his market may not be as hot. The rest is a total crap shoot. I'd like to keep Davis, Mayo, Steffe, Aligbe, Sykes, Moreno and Webber to go along with the 2 incoming freshman. That would leave room for some impact transfers. I doubt we go past 13 scholarships even if the NCAA allows due to money and other considerations.Do we have any inkling as to which players are most likely/or eligible to return next year?
Sitting pracitically at the bottom of the conference, part of me hopes they just reroll.
Saluki Insider? I barely know her!

Excellent assessment! Two things I'd add: First, I don't see Sharp returning as an upgrade at point guard is imperative. Could leave on his own, or the staff could recruit over him. Second, isn't it possible that Dibba could return because he was injured as a freshman and played in only six games that season? SalukiWorld has brought that up, I think. That one's up to the NCAA, I guess.
I've heard of Dibba possibly getting another year. Nothing on Hensley. I noticed the game promo that was emailed today just said "come out and celebrate Jarrett Hensley on Senior Night." No mention of Dibba.
I certainly can envision Dibba coming back based on his limited 4 or 5 games played while at CSU. Hensley I am doubtful on. We shall find out soon enough when whomever is recognized tomorrow night. Hopefully a good showing by everyone vs those dreaded Redturds.
Go Dawgs!!!
Go Nagy...show reason to believe!
Yeah Hensley is being the only one honored tomorrow pregame. So seems like they expect Dibba to get a waiver.
Wow, hopefully Dibba not getting mentioned in the promo is a sign of things to come! I would be seriously fired up if Dibba came back. I think he can continue to get better. Big ask, but if we can get Dibba, Davis and Elliott back with a year under this coaching staff that would be huge!I've heard of Dibba possibly getting another year. Nothing on Hensley. Ok, I did a little more research on Dibba's freshman year at Chicago State. It's a little more complicated than just an injury and not very cut and dry. He missed most of the non conference season because of a travel visa issue coming from Sweden. He then played in 5 games before getting hurt and missing the final 12 games. That's a big gray area for the NCAA to make a decision upon. A medical redshirt specifies that you play no more than 30% of the teams games before a season ending injury. He definitely played in less than 30% of their games and had a season ending injury. However, the reason for him missing a lot of the games wasn't an injury, but a visa issue. The NCAA sucks so I hate having it in their corrupt hands to make a subjective decision!Wow, hopefully Dibba not getting mentioned in the promo is a sign of things to come! I would say there is a 99% chance he gets the waiver. None of the things that happened were in his control and he played 5 games.

That definitely gets me excited.
SIU will have to fork up to keep Dibba and Davis, I suspect. If both of them return it’s probably a sign that the basketball NIL situation is as competitive as I have a hunch it is.
In Dibba's player of the game interview with Luke and Rodney Dibba said "we are really going to miss Hensley next year". I’d expect Dibba back.
I’d say it’s 50/50 on Kennard, sadly.
I wouldn’t expect Elliott back.
Why wouldn't you expect Elliott back? He's rehabbing his ACL tear with SIU and it is a 8+ month recovery. He won't be ready to practice full until at least September. There aren't a lot of teams who would pay big NIL money for a player who can't participate in summer workouts and is coming off a serious knee injury. I would put him being back at better than 50%. He also seems very engaged on the bench.I’d expect Dibba back.

Kennard’s putting up some numbers that are going to make it harder to keep him, especially considering he plays both ends of the floor. Sad to have to look at it that way but that’s reality in this environment.
