Aaron Cook played 11 minutes for #1 Gonzaga, so we got that to talk about.
Played 18 minutes against Auburn!
If Dalton's the best guard on the floor, how about this?
1PG) Dalton Banks
2SG) Lance Jones
3SF) Ben Harvey
4PF) Marcus Domask
5C) Anthony D'Avanzo
It's a smallish starting line-up, but you have Filewich & Dembele on the bench if you want to go big.

It's possible !!! I feel like you have 3 guaranteed starters in Domask, Harvey and Jones. My guess on the remaining two would be D'Avanzo and Verplancken. Despite Brown struggling mightily last year with his shooting, he played a ton of minutes so I can see him starting as well, although at this point he has to prove himself IMO. My last prediction is that the starting 5 in the first game will NOT be the starting lineup at the end of the year (not assuming injuries either).

That’s ummm uhhhhh a bold prediction 😀
Just trying to boost up my confidence sir by being right. It never happens at home so I have to find the little pleasures elsewhere. : )
So if we are going to compare the three new recruits to players of recent note, would it be Banks->Mullins, Butler->Tyrone Greene, Filewich->Boyle?
I hate it when current players are compared to former players. Especially when Said players have never played a game. I get it. I just don’t like it
I have admittedly never seen them outside of hype videos on YouTube and the snippets SIU has put out. Maybe I should have said similar in play style than outright comparison.
I will say I like what is going on except for one thing.
Next season:
SR-Muila
JR-Dembele, Gibson, Domask, Jones, Brown, Verplancken
SO-Filewich, Banks, Butler
FR-Ebube, D'Amico, Wonders
Don't really like having that many in one class.

Add Muila and Harvey to the Junior class for next year. Muila will be granted a redshirt for this year and you omitted Harvey.
Gibson would be a Sophomore next year, but he is not listed on the Official Roster anyway. There has not even been a mention of Gibson practicing with the team this year.

I was meaning Harvey when I said Gibson. And ya I forgot about Muila being a likely redshirt this year.

That made me laugh! We've all been there!

Keep in mind someone from this team will likely transfer next year (maybe more than one)...that’s just college basketball now. He’ll have a chance to do some rebalancing with those, but sometimes you just end up with bigger classes. I’ll say this, if he keeps bringing in classes like 2021’s recruiting class we’ll be in good shape to recover from those departures.
