The 10-0 San Francisco Dons one week from today, after an exhibition game at home this Saturday.
Verplancken probably needs to keep shooting more. He's been on fire this year but rarely gets any shots up. Today he's been firing away.
His 3-point shot has been smooth most nights. Agree, run plays for him and let him get 7-8 threes a game up unless he goes cold.

He's 23-44 (52.3%) from 3 this year now, 25th in the country and he's 16th in the country in effective field goal % and 14th in the country in true shooting %. Very low in possessions though for the team, gets the nearly invisible tag on KenPom

Then the coaching staff needs to get him a lot more shots.
and, yes, I mean the coaching staff.
I remember a game I was at back in 1980 against New Mexico State. They were a good team - Slab Jones was their star - but Wayne Abrams, Barry Smith and company destroyed them 114 to 86. Slab was hungover maybe. We scored 70 in the 1st half - that's the record.
This was a fun game to watch. SEMO had some very quick guards. Lance Lynn at the game was an added bonus. Cards should have kept him obviously. l can't help but wonder why he was in Carbondale at a Saluki game.
Cool to see Lance Lynn. Second to last seat on the floor near the baseline. Backwards white hat on.
Wonder what it is that brought him to Carbondale.
Wife is from Benton. Or Marion. I forget which. She’s not there tonight.
Both, sort of. Her uncle is former Saluki, Jo Jo Johnson.

Great game! It was really nice to see Kyle get back to his game.
Anthony D'Avanzo did not play and was not on the bench tonight. Has anyone heard anything about his status? I know he was fighting some injuries, but I find it strange that he wasn't at the game and no one has commented as to why.

Think they said on the broadcast he was sick, he was also limited in the Tulsa game with sickness

Cards should have kept him - had a great year for the White Sox. Maybe he has friends in Cdale or Cape.
He’s building a house in Goreville.
Was told Lynn had a place at Crab Orchard also
Amazed at how quick 2 or 3 of the guards were for semo, would be nice if siu could recruit a speedy gaurd for next season, overall enjoyed the game, I feel siu just wore them down with the regular substituting
Enjoyed watching what I could of the game (yay other responsibilities!). Saw a lot turnovers, mainly first half, that I'd like to see us clean up. Agreed Verplancken needs to get some more touches. Hopefully we can keep up the momentum!
