Brown faked out - Copeland gets a good look! Ugh!
Insane that a Freshmen would get faked out by a Senior. 🙄 🙄
Sure it happens!
Insane that you think Brown looked better than Jones! Not even close! Check the stats. http://stats.statbroadcast.com/broadcast/?id=281402
Rather see Suggs playing D on Copeland. Good D player and lengthy and can shoot just as badly as Brown did today (0 - 4). And is our best FT shooter.
I also would have liked to see a little more Suggs on Copeland. But, overall, gotta love the second half showing by the Dawgs.

We are all entitled to our opinions, even when they're wrong.
What a win!
Brown struggled more today in both sides of the floor, but he’s still playing better overall than I saw in non-conference play.
Very mature performance from McGill. Driving to the lane to create openings when Benson had to go out...and how about Domask?! Every time he got open you KNEW he was going to drain it. Doesn’t it feel nice to have a player like that? He’s so damn versatile, too.
I threw my hat across the room after Copeland’s game-tying 3. It’s good to care about a team that much again.
Now, let’s get revenge on Loyola!
Bow Em
Marcus Domask Player of the Game. 19 pts, 6 rbs, 2 assists in 36 minutes (but only 1 -4 FTs)
Eric McGill 15 pts, 3 rbs, 3 assists in 38 minutes (5 - 6 FTs, hit some big ones late in the game)
Lance Jones 12 pts, 3 rbs, 3 assists, 2 stls in 31 minutes (but 5 TOs)
Gooch had 2 rbs, 2 stls, and a 3 pter in only 16 good minutes

Like Coach B said, we executed well last 10 minutes of the game. Love to flush the Redturds!
Mullins is so refreshing after burnt BBQ sauce! (although he did say to Reis that ISU is a great team!!! Nah - not really - but it's always tough to win a conference game on the road!)
What does it say for a team without a road win to go down 10 and dig out of that hole to win their first road game. The character of the team reflects the coach, thats the truest sentiment in sports and man, these guys embody what Bryan Mullins is all about. I have never appreciated a coach more.
Thought this one was over when the Redbirds got the lead to 9. Credit to the players and staff, this team is resilient. Domask and McGill came up big in the 2nd half.

This. It is uncanny how this team exhibits the qualities of Mullins when he was a player.

Copeland is quicker than Green - that's why Brown stuggled against him I think. He also has a quick release like Green.
Copeland shot the rubber out of the ball today 9 - 13 (69%) , 5 - 7 from 3pt, 24 points.
FYI - Domask is 4th in the MVC in 3 pt shooting at 42% (right behind Tate Hall of Loyola.) Berhow leads the league. Copeland shoots 39.8%.
Really need to sit on Tate Hall Tuesday - he killed us up there!

I know there's not much to be done since we're so short-handed, but I get uneasy seeing guys rack up that many minutes (35+) in virtually every game.
It was good to have Suggs back, and it will really help if Gooch can continue to give competent minutes.
Edit: I am sure that Mullins, with his intimate knowledge of stress fractures, is probably concerned about this too.
(Inflammatory political snark)
Win probability chart from KenPom. SIU had a 14.5% chance of winning at 16:51 in the 2nd half down 29-19.
SIU rose up and took that game away from them. The Lance Jones steal and bucket brought them even and then Domask and McGill took over. Best they have looked on the road that I have seen. This team is getting better quickly.
I see we had 9 more FT attempts than they did. Should we let those UNI cry babies know? 🤣
