I see we had 9 more FT attempts than they did.  Should we let those UNI cry babies know? 🤣

SIU is 2nd in the conference in free throw rate and 3rd in the conference in free throw rate against.  Have a feeling a lot of people are gonna cry about this, it's just the way they play.

Thought this one was over when the Redbirds got the lead to 9.  Credit to the players and staff, this team is resilient.  Domask and McGill came up big in the 2nd half.

Never ever give up !

You can't overstate what a great win this is. This game had "trap" written all over it.

Perspective: Coming off of a huge home win behind a great crowd, a young team missing key players goes on the road, where they haven't won a true one yet and plays a team with a poor record that they'd already beaten once. Easy to get complacent. Easy to look ahead to another big home game vs a good team Wednesday. Then, they promptly go down double figures in the second half, and still find a way to win.

I mean, wow!

And you know in the back of their minds, the psychological weight of being winless on the road was beginning to feel awfully heavy. Huge, huge, huge to get this outta the way now.

I think you'll see noticeable improvement and confidence from this group on the road going forward. Again, huge!

Guys and gals, brace yourselves, because this is gonna get really fun!

Welp, guess i wont be turning games off with 10 minutes left anymore.   Wow!!!

I’m gonna have to watch replay on demand on ESPN to see how they pulled this off.  Salukis looked awful first 30 minutes of game.

These announcers are awful.  Wow.  Unfortunately, the SIU audio stream is way ahead of the E3 feed and I can't stall it to sync them up.

I listen to Mike on SIUSalukis.com - it's always a bit ahead. I just hit the pause button and unpause when they sync. Been doing it all season.

Can't stand that munchkin who does the Redturd games!

I haven't been able to get the Saluki stream to delay.  After pausing, re-starting starts it from where it is in real time.  Now, E+ games and NBCSN games are always ahead of the audio stream so delaying the video is easy, but for some reason E3 games are always behind.  I'll have to do some more experimenting.

If you're gonna reply to me in the forums, please quote what I wrote that you're replying to so I have a clue...thanks! 😀

Side note: It's great to see Domask getting more and more assertive.

That he plays so smart and poised is such an asset and so rare for a young player, but this team needs him to step up and be 'that guy', especially when they're struggling offensively.

Took the Amtrak down from Chicago to watch the game in person. Well worth the trip! Happy to see this team win and have fun in the process.

I think Domask has been too scared to take shots and miss until this game.  I think every shot he takes is going in at this point and would rather see him take more shots and miss some than not enough shots at all.

I want to give some credit to Benson here. He didn't have a great game but we don't win if he doesn't make those two clutch free throws in the last minute. I would never have guessed that he makes both and Domask misses both. That's not to take away from Domask. he was outstanding.

“Scared” does not belong in the same sentence with Marcus Domask.

I mean, it's generally okay since he's a Freshman still trying to figure things out.  Domask is good and this team is better when he's taking the big shots like he did today.

Benson won the game with those FTs. Ice cold.
