Loyola gets the key rebounds down the stretch and this one is probably over
Loyola 65
SIU 58
Final/OT
Jones leads SIU scorers with 30. D'Avanzo with 16.
We look so poorly coached down the stretch of games. What the hell. D’Avanzo one on one? A fall away Lance 3? Just completely disorganized.
oh dude just leave. We took the number 21 team down the wire to overtime away with the youngest team in the valley. Jesus your a troll 100 percent can we ban this dude already

Without Domask, this team doesn't have many players that can create their own offense. Jones and D'Avanzo carried the team today so hard to argue with going to them.
I'm not gonna complain much about taking Loyola to OT though. I hope this is an effort they can build on for St. Louis.
Great defensive effort and Jones was dynamite. A possible win with Domask. Loyola looked really tight.
Also continues to show more production is needed at the 2/3 positions.

Why can't we ban this troll? He has been Dean, Dawgpoop, etc.
These guys played their hearts out tonight. If there was any question about their dedication, that can be put to rest.
Not a fun season. But, hopefully this next infusion of talent can bring us some more athleticism and wins.
Bow Em
Looked like 4 zombies and Lance Jones playing basketball. Had a chance to win this one, would have won it easily with Domask.
On to Thursday, if we play like this next weekend we'll play Loyola one more time this year, I guarantee it.
Saluki Insider? I barely know her!
1) Maybe we aren't as bad as we thought. We just gave a top 25 team all they could handle two days in a row on their home court without arguably our best player (Domask).
2) You guys who have been talking about yanking D'Avanzo's scholarship lately (you know who you are) are ridiculous.
3) That was a great time-out by Loyola at the end of regulation to ice Lance Jones on his third free throw (damn it).
Lots of twists and turns. Great comeback. Only two Salukis scoring. Margin of victory at the FT line again. Work to do.

How's Chris Lowery's team doing this year?
Jones was great and the defensive effort was also great across the board. Thought Harvey played much better defense and got some key rebounds down the stretch. Tough loss. Jones 3rd FT in regulation was 1/2 way down and came out. Would have been nice to leave it up to the defense to win if that FT has gone down. Salukis didn't exactly get the benefit of any calls. I thought there were some tough calls against the dawgs. The last D'Avanzo foul looked bogus!
Great effort considering how we played in the first half. Lance Jones is something else and could be very special for us. Don't know what happened to Filewich this weekend. I really thought he would have a bigger impact but he got schooled. Thursday for us, but Valpo showed last year a 9 seed can make some noise and with the effort we gave BOTH games, I think the Dawgs will be a tough out for any team they face in St. Louis.
Free throws, free throws, free throws.
But still, helluva an effort today! Down 16? No problem. Great defenses causes disjointed offense, can't really complain about our finish.
Nice effort, men! Hard fought to the end. On to STL.
