Drake is coming off a road loss at Indiana State so they're gonna come up fired up. SIU is currently 9.5 point underdogs. Drake beat SIU by 18 in Carbondale in a game that wasn't really that close.

Might not be a terrible time to play this one, relatively speaking. DeVries appears to be a bit banged up, one of their good freshmen, Garland, missed last game with an injury (not sure about his status tonight), and maybe Drake has a bit of a hangover from the disappointing loss at Indiana State.
At a minimum, you'd hope Southern will be more competitive with them than they were in the first game in Carbondale and not give up a crap-ton of layups from losing cutters.
No pressure on the Dawgs in this one ... hopefully they toss their share of 3s in and make this one interesting.

I'm going into this game with the expectation that we're going to get beat by 10-20pts. Anything better than that would be a welcomed surprise. A win and I'm eating and drinking later, despite being on KETO. LOL
On a side note, is anyone else going to the Belmont game next week? Had I not already purchased tickets, hotels, etc I probably would have canceled due to the circumstances, but we're still going. Can't wait to get some Hattie B's Chicken !!!!
