I feel like as long as we keep this close before half, we will shoot better from deep in the 2nd half and take this game. Let's go !!!
Luke Martin busting the mic: "NO WAY!" lol
Evansville 26
SIU 24
Halftime
SIU shoots 37.5% in the 1st, Evansville shoots 39.1%
I’m sorry but the story of the half and maybe the rest of the season is Johnson’s struggles and health.
The overuse seems to be coming home to roost at a terrible time.
Rupert sure doesn't look 100% - still recovering from the flu or whatever. Not a good half and XJ isn't the same player he was a couple of games ago.
XJ last three halves, 2 of 18 from the floor, 9 points, 10 turnovers. I'd almost think at this point if he is hurting that bad, it would be better for the team to just be without him a game or two. I'm probably wrong though.

Careful....we all got called haters for suggesting there was something wrong with XJ lately. I think it's pretty obvious at this point, though.
But pointing out that X is hurting is groupthink! At least that’s what I’m told. God willing we can scrap a win against a not very good UE team and get out with a win.
8-0 run for SIU on back to back 3's from Davis and D'Amico
We needed that run, I still expect this to be a dogfight to the end.
That was a helluva stretch. Ebube and Davis have kept SIU in this and now Troy joining the party.

Playing hurt and being too tired are 2 different things. Take a look at the top 100 hundred players as far as minutes go, it is littered with high scoring, critical players. I'm not going to "argue" about it, because it can't be proven, but I personally think his health is more of a factor in his recent poor play, than him being tired.

I think Ebube has been the best player today on both ends. He's making an impact
