I’ve moved on from BBQ but have no problem if people want to bring him up because he’s mostly the reason why SIU is in the spot they’re in right now.  Hinson cared more about the short-term than the long-term.

That being said, as rough as this year is gonna be for Mullins, having nearly a brand new roster is gonna give him an opportunity to build his program right out of the gate which could be beneficial in the long run.

Whatever the case, I’m still enjoying this season more than any season since the Lowery thing was done.  It’s gonna be fun to see guys like Domask, Jones, Brown, and Harvey grow over the next few years.

I'm riding with you.

@carrcar

I'm guessing MR already knows the depressing answer to that question and so didn't bother asking it.

These guys can't get playing time on a team getting regularly outrebounded 37-21 (today's tally). I think the answer is right there if you apply Occam's razor. 😉

  • Also, Dembele's stat line today: 7 minutes, 3 fouls. The last time he played significant minutes, I think it was 4 fouls in 9 minutes.

When Jermaine Dearman arrived he could barely dribble and chew gum concurrently. Let’s be patient kids.

Both Dearman and Falker were projects.  Skilled post players are hard to come by out of high school unless your duke or unc.  Dembele needs some serious work, but if he's willing to put in the time and effort, I'm hopeful that by his junior year he's a contributor.

You are on the money with this.  JD and BMF worked their butts off around the clock (and they were not the only ones) to get where they ended.  BMF was no giant either. 6' 7"

I  remember seeing him at the Carbondale Holiday Tournament at the last game of the night waiting to get on the court to get in some shooting.
