When a team scores 3 points in like 13 minutes of game action like Murray did, including missing the front ends of multiple one-and-ones, it's safe to say that team had a hand in blowing the lead. And of course SIU gets lots of credit for putting game pressure on them and ramping up the defense. Both can be (and are) true, just as the Bradley rally required both great play by Bradley and sloppy play by Southern in the second half.
This ain't complicated.
Coming back to shamelessly gloat after a massive statistical anomaly takes place is plain silliness.
If SIU comes back and wins the MVC regular season title, I'll be as happy as anyone. However, I certainly won't mock anyone for expressing valid concerns along the way.

Today is Happy Curmudgeon’s Day. Wishing those on here a great day.

Spot on.
(Inflammatory political snark)
I don't even think the most positive fan thought SIU was winning that game. Murray had a 99.1% chance at one point according to ESPN.

Agreed. It's fine to celebrate the comeback and the victory, but realize that there were reasons SIU found itself in a 20-point hole and that those issues need to be corrected.
Some of you literally just want to complain. I have seen it for 4 years. When we lose it all needs blown up. When we win it wasn't pretty enough... I am sure the next time we win won't be good enough for any of you either, it hasn't been more years since it wasn't Kent Williams making the threes and it wasn't Falker with big block.
Also, shouldn't feel much like shamelessly gloating when our team won... You should probably be pumped too, if you are the fans you say you are. Maybe just hold off on the "it's over" posts next time.

The SLU game was pretty enough. Let's just do that every time. 😛
I'm just saying I see the same posters who are just itching to take a victory lap every time the offense sputters... You love it. You can't wait to say something about it. Just don't be so eager to dump all over the team we all support and care about and be prepared to give some credit when it's due. This season deserves much more praise than scrutiny.

This program needs to get over the hump and contend in the MVC and win games in St. Louis. This year has gone better than expected but they were also picked 9th so the bar was lowered to extreme levels while teams like Drake, Bradley, and Indiana State keep reloading.

Okay, so you've taken it upon yourself to tell everyone else how to be Saluki fans. Got ya.
Someone mentioned earlier in this thread that they don't like posting during games. Usually I'm in the same boat. I only come here to post during games when what's happening is too depressing to keep my undivided attention -- especially when a portion of the root causes are the very ones many of us discuss here. I know that makes me seem negative. Funny thing, I'm actually super positive. That's just me being me as a fan.
I don't agree with many of the takes posted here, but I'm sure as shit not gonna tell anyone else how to think, act, post or how to be Saluki fans.

I love this. It feels like the guy who always wanted to know the band before everyone else. Look I posted it first.
Read any blog for any sports program at any university and they are pretty much the same: fire the coach, blame the coach, blame the AD, fire the AD, get rid of this player, why is this player playing, why isn’t this player playing, need more defense, need more offense, play zone, play man, etc. etc. etc. It does not make a difference what the sport and what the school, it is always the same. There are many different opinions and everyone has a right to voice theirs. It does seem sometimes like it is the same line being put forth over and over and over.
