I wouldn't trust your ticket sale source. I just looked at ticket availability on siusalukis.com and it looks like there have been approximately 3500-4k tickets sold so far. It would be great to get 7k+, but even with the ticket specials I wouldn't expect much more than 5k with the students gone.Great road win! I’ve been told that over 7,000 tickets have been sold for the Belmont game. Going to be a BIG atmosphere. An absolute must win for us. Let’s keep it going!
For what it’s worth, Reis said to Mullins on the postgame that over 5,000 were sold. And my source is the season ticket rep for Salukis, Bryce Williams. I doubt he would steer me wrong on this.
Also, I wonder if the ticket promo they’re doing includes seats usually designated for students. But I definitely understand the skepticism with the students gone.

Think Reis said 5,000 tickets sold in his Mullins postgame interview

This is a link to the live ticket sales website to the Belmont game on siusalukis.com. As you can see there are quite a few tickets remaining and certainly no more than 4k sold. So unless they are selling two and three tickets for the same seats they haven't sold anywhere near 7k tickets. I'll believe my eyes and the live ticket sales map and site.
Just to clarify, I am also counting the approximate 1k seats behind the basket allocated for students as not sold because they are distributed to students on game day and none have been distributed yet. Add this 1k to what looks like another 3k available on the webiste and you have approx. 4k still available. Banterra holds 8339, so maybe I underestimated a little and have sold 4300-4400 or so. This is definitely at least 1500 more tickets than we normally have sold a couple days before a game, so that is definitely a good sign. I certainly hope we get a huge crowd of 7k+, but just wanted to clarify what the ticket website shows. Without the students I would expect 5-6k. Hope i'm wrong.
PS I'll be happy to eat crow if we have over 7k at the game. I'll be one of them, just like I was one of the approximate 200 SIU fans at the Murray State game last night, one of the approximate 400 SIU fans at the SEMO game and a season ticket holder.

I bought tickets the other day and think there’s more tickets sold than usual in the upper deck.
If you’re going to the game, take advantage of the discounts online.
I'm getting excited again. Murray isn't an easy place to win in any circumstance, yet we won anyway, even with Perry absolutely lighting us up (not because he was poorly defended either). Lance played with more confidence, Marcus played like a senior that refused to let SIU lose, and Ebube is near being ready to return.
I think Bryan still has some rotational things to figure out; his anti-offense lineup he used a couple different times after we stretched the lead might need scrapping. Thinking this was Banks, Johnson, Newton, D'Amico and Muila ... Someone can correct me on this if I'm wrong, but I remember asking myself aloud; who's going to score with these 5 on the floor together?
Also, it won't always show up in the numbers, but Muila's extremely physical presence has been a helpful addition. He was good defensively again last night. The only time he got beat was by a guard on a bad switch with no help.
--Insert something witty here--
POY: I've seen most of the MVC teams this year. Domask is easily the best player I've seen - just does everything well, and if Lance isn't first team All-Conference this year, I'm resigning my position as armchair commissioner of the Valley!
Win the Valley = Domask POY. It’ll probably come down to that. Usually does.

Mosley deserved it last year but Green won because his team won
@mikereis Do you happen to know why the shot clock bug on the ESPN+ home broadcast is consistently wrong by three or four seconds? I'm not sure when it started being a problem but it's at least the last four games. It's always a head of the actual shot clock. Can you pass that on to the appropriate person in hopes of getting it fixed? Thank you!

You are correct . They might be hoping for 7k, and I would LOVE see it, but there have not been 7k sold yet. Let's get it done.

Think it has to do with ESPN production being outsourced to Oklahoma City post-pandemic to save money
I don't get it either. Hornecker and Wonders need to be playing. Period. Especially Hornecker: I don't want to lose him.
