Of course - a three to close out the half. Damnit.

Should have gone 2 for 1 there with 50 seconds left. And then Banks travels
Agreed. Lousy last minute when they were starting to crawl back a bit.
That last shot was a backbreaker. Ten-point lead seems almost insurmountable against these guys.
Banks never moved his pivot foot on that last travel call.
When you’re an outmanned underdog, you better be able to knock down some 3s. No dice so far. The back cuts have been nice, though.
Yep. If SIU can't knock down some 3's, stick a fork in em' they're done.
Muila looks like our only interior option that can somewhat neutralize their advantage in the paint with his athleticism.
--Insert something witty here--
My big-picture concern is there are a handful of guys on the team who lack the athleticism and explosiveness to perform well against NCAA tournament-caliber competition, which needs to be the goal. Unfortunately didn’t see much in the first 20 minutes to shake that feeling.
The difference was they are hitting shots and we aren't. It really hurt that Coupet and Jones got 2 fouls and sat a lot of minutes. That eliminated 2 of our best scorers and our most athletic players!
This game is too much to San Francisco’s likening. Too wide open. Only game that USF lost was to Grand Canyon who were way more defensive in nature and took a lot of air out of the ball.

2 foul participation is actually measured and SIU is 15th to the bottom with 0.3% of their minutes coming from guys with 2 fouls in the first half of games.

Wait a minute now. SIU is the team that slows it down and takes all of the shot clock and relies on defense. Lol
Im not even sure what this team is.
Luckily the Valley really sucks this year.
Year 4 is gonna be more of the same I’m afraid.
Thankfully, most of the sunny optimists don’t say a whole lot these days.
We need some freaking athletes.

i think you need to look at it again, he drug it at least two feet when he stopped, it was obvious
Going to need to start hitting threes in order to keep it close.

Feels like Domask & Jones are gonna be wasted. You have an open scholarship for next year right now to add some scoring and athleticism but you also lose Coupet, your most athletic player. Just not sure they have enough to get over that hump.
apparently the top graphic has been corrected with “SIU” and a proper logo.

Unfortunately, that's how it is for many of their games.
Muila goes 0-4 on free throws, never seen 4 attempts before
