I don’t know if this was posted anywhere but it needs to be remembered that Lance Jones’ high school friend and teammate was shot and killed about two weeks ago in Chicago. I saw on Twitter where he went to the service. He probably was extra shook up for a few days around this and also playing basketball had to be extra difficult since it was a reminder. SIU may have required him to quarantine around his return to campus due to visiting the Chicago area. Not sure if he ever tested positive but all this time grieving, traveling and quarantining undoubtedly weighed heavy on his mind and body last night.
I was unaware of that. Thoughts and prayers are with you, your family and the family of your teammate (brother) Lance.
Regards, Duke

@number-1-fan Lance was on the TV news up here in the Chicago area right after the shooting.
That is awful.

Nick Evans?

How many times have you seen some young person murdered!!! Just a shame! Too easy to get a gun!
(I say that as the owner of multiple guns and a hunter!!)
I was actually slightly more impressed with Filewich than I thought I'd be. He's a Freshman in his first year coming from Canada, this is a huge step-up in competition at a very tough position to do well early on. A decade ago, redshirting Filewich would have been an easy decision but that's not happening now in today's CBB climate and with the current big man depth.
Filewich is going to be a good big man.
As Spike noticed, Filewich will never be an Olympic figure skater, but he showed some nice touch around the basket and some passing skills. As he develops, he'll be a force..good addition to the team.
This year doesn’t count toward eligibility of any player right? I know your point was that no one redshirts now anyway, but this year is like redshirting and still being able to play. I agree with rockin dawg, he’ll end up being a good big man.

Nick Evans?
If I remember correctly, Evans was pretty well co-ordinated. I think he beat everyone in training in the 400m runs. His problems weren't physical.

I remember him going after loose balls like a giraffe on roller skates. Makes KF look just plain dainty! LOL
