@bleedfknmaroon25 Completely agree with everything you said. I'm not a fan of our current starting line-up, either.
Brown can be a game-changer if he could make shots (see the Butler game). But it’s year 4 and he’s a 32.8% career 3 point shooter (76-232) in D1 games and a 34.5% shooter overall in D1 games. I think his reputation for defense is based on shutting down AJ Green in the first year but faster, athletic guards constantly blow him by.

The benefits of "playing small" are when you have a lineup filled with quick, skilled offensive players who can score and create havoc on defense. Playing Brown at the 3 is not that.
I understand Southern is shorthanded in the post right now, but I don't see how playing true bigs (for now, just Rupert) for only about 10 of the 40 minutes is much of a recipe for success when points are hard to come by, anyway, and you're getting beat up on the boards.
Maybe when Muila returns it evolves into Johnson-Jones-Domask-D'Amico-Rupert, with Muila coming off the bench at the 5 (or switch him and Rupert). I could also see Banks pushing for a starting spot if Johnson doesn't get it going in the coming weeks.
I'd like to see a starting lineup of Johnson or Banks at PG, Jones at SG, Domask at the 3, D'Amico at the 4 and Muila or Rupert at the 5. Also, Newton should be quick off the bench and get lots of PT. Brown shouldn't get that much PT against athletic teams. I'd like to see Ferguson play more than Brown when we face long, athletic wings.@bleedfknmaroon25 Completely agree with everything you said. I'm not a fan of our current starting line-up, either.

Mark me down as one who wants to see a lot more Ferguson. He's already ahead of the curve defensively, is very athletic and quick, has good size and is showing a good stroke from 3. I think we might have a gem here.
I've been a Trent Brown fan since the beginning, but right now he's not giving us much. At this point in his career, he is what he is. He best serves this group at 5-10 minutes a game off the bench unless he catches fire like at Butler.
