Had every opportunity to win this one, but our offense just isn’t good.
tulsa is doing the same thing every time down the court and we can't figure it out.
Craving a McBride Special!
It's to the point now that anytime the ball is thrown down to Kyler, I'm just waiting for the turnover. He really has to improve.
HE ONLY HAS ONE. Sheesh.
It's not just the turnover in the stat book. What I'm saying is he gets blocked easily, or barely gets the ball to the rim on most of his shots because he's physically overmatched.
The one big thing Troy has to improve showed itself there. His dribbling is above his waist and gets sloppy. All things considered today, a pretty good showing as a team.
Tulsa is getting to the rim way too easily which is leading to the foul calls right or wrong
Some of these fouls are ridiculous.
getting homered a bit but we've given it away.

That free throw disparity is insane…we probably haven’t attacked the rim as much, but sheesh.
SIU is in DIRE need of getting a TRUE point guard, but one that can also shoot and keep defenses honest.
I don’t want him to get a technical in a close game like this, but Mullins needed to be in the ears of these refs for some of these ridiculous foul calls.
SIU has to figure out how to win road games, it’s been so frustrating the last few years
The game was lost primarily with the poor finish of the first half. Beyond that, the missed Domask shot from point-blank and the missed Jones corner 3 late proved fatal. Still would have liked to see Jones re-inserted a bit earlier so he had a chance to get in a flow.
Was not a friendly whistle but also not a strong enough overall showing, other than Coupet, to beat a decent team on the road. The bigs really struggled, as did Banks. Disappointing loss.
Also would like to see Verplancken put two halves together. He tends to be a threat in bursts and then fade away.
Refs were not good to SIU in this one, but it has become increasingly obvious that Southern has recruited one too many major projects on this roster.
And Jones is clearly too hurt to be effective. He just shuffles around and half jogs out there now.

I totally agree on Jones not getting into the game soon enough. Despite his early season struggles from 3, I feel like (when in the flow of the game) he is nearly automatic when that open. He's also smart enough to play with 4 fouls.
Bummed about the loss, but the biggest non-conf game remains on the schedule and we have more than winnable games between now and then.
