It’s funny until you realize what he is doing. 🙄
Team played extremely well. Armon fouling out hurt us a little bit towards the end, but I thought the defense was great throughout the loss. Kentucky players just found their stroke with 12 minutes left in the game.

Got killed on rebounding, but that takes experience and we’re young, oh wait...no we’re not. Never mind.

Calipari: "Missed some threes today that could easily have beat us, but hard second game. I’m still mad we scheduled it."
I was listening to Kentucky's postgame show on the way home. He was complimentary of SIU and didn't want to play such an experienced team so early in the year.
The team looked good last night and didn't hang their heads when Kentucky came back. The Dawgs actually counter punched. I was impressed. Looking forward to the next game.
Is it my imagination or has Bol added a few lbs. compared to 2 years ago?
Credit where it's due: BH seemed to have them ready for this game. SIU held them to 71 points and was in the game until late. KY is young but has talent off the charts. That we were able to hang with them is encouraging. I read through a prediction thread on the UK message board, and most posters were expecting them to score in the high 80s or 90s.
The rebounding margin is definitely cause for concern.

It definitely looks that way. He seems to have lost a half-step and maybe some explosiveness too. Lots of rust to knock off yet, but if he's 95% of the Bol he was 2 years ago by Valley time, we'll be in pretty good shape.

Rebounding spread is definitely concerning. It won Kentucky the game. I hope that is addressed moving forward. No reason for a team of veterans to not at least be decent at rebounding.
I can excuse the rebounding in this game to some degree. We couldn't send much to the offense glass due to UKs speed in transition. I will be concerned if it continues.

SIU was in it until we got tired.
We played Kentucky's game, their conditioning gave them the legs at the end of the halves.
