Not a little huckster fan at all. But, I will take the win. Nice job by the guys to pull it together after halftime and take it to Tulsa.
That was a good win: they appear to have the capacity to be a good team, but the mark of a mediocre team is inconsistency. Right now, mediocrity is what I see. They will have to string some of these good stretches together before I see them as anything other than mediocre. With the playing time being dominated by 80% Seniors, I am not sure how likely it is that we will see anything different than what we have seen in the last two years, particularly during that three out of four loss skid to end last year. Teams like this can cut your heart out and stomp on it. Sure do hope they prove me wrong.

The UMass game was nothing but poor
But the team and program came out strong against a Tulsa program that was 4-1 and lost to #6 Nevada by 10. Nevada going to be a huge test. Just hope we can stay in the game and compete.

I truly don't believe Greg Cook thinks all this losing is OK. He enjoys being a power player in a small pond like Carbondale with his sheds, and his wife is happy to have a paid-for friend to pal around with.
My only question is does Greg Cook really care about the program? Maybe he just likes flying SIU big wigs around on his plane and sitting at halfcourt by himself. Who knows.
