SIU is shooting okay but the turnovers are a problem. With that said, I can see why UNLV has forced a minimum of 24+ turnovers against everyone they’ve played. They pressure the ball extremely well!
On the other hand, SIU’s defense has been pretty elite as well!
UNLV is athletic and they play very intense D. Don't think our guys have played against this kind of D.
This is the best D we've played this year. Keep it up!
I'm less than thrilled with the rotations so far. Know Ebube and Muila being hurt is a problem but there's no reason for Domask to still be playing 39 minutes a night in Year 4. Especially when you have a game tomorrow.
Lance and Marcus have both come to play. Great to see, and I hope Lance keeps going to the rim like he did on the last play.
But … better cut those turnovers in half in the second half to win this game. And still going to need some offense from other sources.
half the turnovers were horrible calls, a walk on one side of the court is not a walk on the other tonight
Hate to say it, but this is going to be most of our games this year. Ugly fights to the end. We have virtually no post presence and will be shooting 25+ threes. But if it works, it works.

Getting Ebube/Muila back will help but they also aren't playing Hornecker again when he looked fine the other day.

SIU actually shot 63% that half to UNLV's 34.5%.

This team is pretty dang quick. I’m not sure Hornecker would be a good idea to be honest against them.
We need Hornecker up front for a few minutes. If he's not redshirting then I really don't know what his use is on the bench. D'Amico doesn't look phenomenal. UNLV has trailed at the half for 3/4 of their games. SIU has to limit the turnovers in the second half because UNLV is a second-half team.
I’m expecting to go to bed soon.

UNLV can't miss now. Wasn't a good sign when you went to the half out-shooting them 63%-34% and were only up 4.
I like Johnson attacking the basket. Need to finish those drives.
